This role is based in India, Hyderabad.\n\nPosition Summary:\n\nThe Senior Software Engineer (Full Stack) is a core member of the Product Delivery engineering team building Rimini Street's Agentic ERP Platform-a strategic product that enables AI agents to interact with legacy ERP systems including SAP, Oracle E-Business Suite, and JD Edwards. This role contributes across the full technology stack, from backend platform services and MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers to AI agent integration and frontend user interfaces.\n\nReporting to the Sr. Director, Engineering, this engineer will design, develop, and deliver production-quality software in a modern tech stack spanning Java, Python, and Angular. The ideal candidate is a versatile engineer who thrives working across layers of the stack, takes ownership of features end-to-end, and is energized by building a new platform from the ground up.\n\nEssential Duties & Responsibilities:\nDesign and develop backend services using Java 21 and Quarkus, including MCP servers, REST APIs, and platform services.\nBuild and maintain integration components that connect AI agents to enterprise ERP systems (SAP, Oracle EBS, JD Edwards).\nDevelop data access layers using PostgreSQL, including working with pgvector for vector storage and similarity search.\nImplement resilience patterns (circuit breakers, retries, bulkheads) using Resilience4j for production reliability.\nWrite clean, testable, well-documented code following established engineering standards and architectural patterns.\nDevelop AI agent components using Python and frameworks such as Pydantic AI or LangChain4j.\nIntegrate with LLM services through LiteLLM gateway, implementing prompt templates, tool calling, and response handling.\nBuild and maintain RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) pipelines for contextual knowledge retrieval.\nImplement orchestration workflows using Restate for multi-step agent processes with human-in-the-loop checkpoints.\nBuild user interfaces using Angular and TypeScript, contributing to the platform's component library and design system.\nDevelop human-in-the-loop interfaces that allow users to supervise, approve, and intervene in agent actions.\nImplement responsive, modern layouts using CSS3, Tailwind CSS, and Angular Material or similar component frameworks.\nCreate dashboards, admin panels, and monitoring views for agent performance and system health.\nBuild reusable UI components with clean HTML5 semantics, SCSS/CSS architecture, and consistent styling patterns.\nEnsure accessible (WCAG compliant), performant frontend experiences across browsers and devices.\nWork with design specifications and wireframes to translate UX designs into pixel-accurate implementations.\nParticipate in code reviews, design discussions, and technical design reviews.\nWrite unit tests, integration tests, and contribute to automated testing frameworks.\nContribute to CI/CD pipeline development and deployment automation.\nInstrument code with OpenTelemetry for distributed tracing, metrics, and logging.\nCollaborate with team members across time zones in a virtual team environment.\nContribute to technical documentation, architecture decision records, and knowledge sharing.\n\nExperience:\n3.5+ years of professional software engineering experience in full stack development.\nStrong backend development experience with Java (Java 11+); experience with Quarkus or Spring Boot.\nWorking proficiency in Python; experience building services or scripts in Python.\nFrontend development experience with Angular (v14+), TypeScript, and modern CSS (Tailwind, SCSS, or CSS-in-JS).\nExperience building component libraries or contributing to design systems.\nExperience with relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL.\nFamiliarity with RESTful API design and microservices architecture.\nExperience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and modern development workflows.\nExperience working in agile teams with iterative delivery practices.\n\nTechnical Skills:\n\nRequired:\nJava 11+ (Java 17/21 preferred) with strong understanding of modern Java features.\nExperience with Quarkus or Spring Boot for building microservices and REST APIs.\nPython proficiency for AI/ML integration work and scripting.\nAngular (v14+) and TypeScript for frontend development; strong component architecture skills.\nSolid CSS3/SCSS skills including responsive design, flexbox, and grid layouts.\nExperience with Tailwind CSS or similar utility-first CSS frameworks.\nProficiency with HTML5 semantics and modern web standards.\nPostgreSQL and SQL; experience with data modeling and query optimization.\nRESTful API design and implementation; familiarity with OpenAPI/Swagger.\nGit version control and collaborative development practices.\nUnderstanding of containerization (Docker) and basic Kubernetes concepts.\n\nPreferred:\nExperience with AI/ML frameworks: Pydantic AI, LangChain, or LangChain4j.\nFamiliarity with LLM integration patterns, prompt engineering, and tool calling.\nExperience with vector databases (pgvector, Qdrant) and embedding models.\nExperience with Angular Material, PrimeNG, or similar Angular component libraries.\nKnowledge of web accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1) and cross-browser compatibility.\nExperience with frontend testing frameworks (Jasmine, Karma, Cypress, or Playwright).\nKnowledge of MCP (Model Context Protocol) or similar agent-tool integration patterns.\nExperience with Restate, Temporal, or similar workflow orchestration frameworks.\nFamiliarity with OpenTelemetry, Jaeger, or Prometheus for observability.\nExperience with enterprise integration patterns: messaging, event-driven architecture, RFC/BAPI.\nKnowledge of SAP or Oracle EBS integration technologies.\nExperience with Resilience4j or similar resilience libraries.\nFamiliarity with LiteLLM or similar LLM gateway tools.\n\nSkills & Competencies:\nStrong problem-solving skills with the ability to debug complex issues across multiple layers of the stack.\nOwnership mentality-takes responsibility for features from design through production deployment.\nAbility to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies, frameworks, and domains.\nGood communication skills;
