This role requires independent judgment, strong technical expertise, and a client-focused mindset to deliver high-quality solutions. The Principal Consultant maintains excellent client relationships, ensures compliance with company standards and procedures, and plays a key role in business development and practice growth.\nWhat You’ll Do\nManage and deliver complex restoration and consulting projects with minimal supervision\nDesign restoration solutions for building envelopes, including façades, roofs, and waterproofing systems\nConduct field inspections and document restoration work in progress\nLead by example and foster a positive, professional work environment\nComplete assignments within your area of professional expertise\nAssist with preparing proposals, scopes of work, and project approaches\nEnsure reports, proposals, and other deliverables meet company standards and are properly signed and sealed\nMaintain a high level of customer satisfaction by responding quickly to client concerns and resolving issues effectively\nSupport marketing and business development efforts, including maintaining and growing an existing book of business\nReview draft invoices prior to final submission\nMeet service expectations, including a guaranteed two-day turnaround for deliverables\nPerform other duties as assigned\nWhat You’ll Bring\nDemonstrated experience inspecting and documenting existing façades, roofing systems, and waterproofing\nStrong critical-thinking, judgment, and interpersonal skills\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills\nHigh level of professionalism and discretion when handling confidential information\nAbility to work independently while managing multiple priorities\nRequired Education, Experience & Licensure\nBachelor’s degree in civil engineering, structural engineering, architecture, or a related technical field (advanced degree preferred)\n15+ years of experience with building envelopes, including restoration, consulting, and forensics\nActive Professional Engineer (PE) or Registered Architect (RA) license\nThe Salary Range for this position is $130,000 - $195,000 and is dependent on education, experience, location and certifications/licensure.\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS, OVERTIME, AND TRAVEL\nPhysical Demands - Work will be performed both in an office setting and at outside locations (i.e., Client’s office, industrial, construction, and/or residential sites). Employee is frequently required to stand, sit, climb ladders, bend, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, hear, and drive a motor vehicle to job sites. Employee may lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Employee must be attentive, focused, and alert when conducting site inspections, speaking, and interacting with clients, preparing drawings and written reports. Clear vision and depth perception are also necessary.\nOvertime - This position is classified as salaried with an exempt FLSA status. Regular working hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, with one hour for lunch.
