the future!\n\nWhat are the primary responsibilities in the DSP/Communications Engineer position?\nResearch, design, and develop digital signal processing (DSP) and communications systems deployed across CPU, GPU, and FPGA platforms.\nParticipate in all phases of the product development life cycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, integration, and testing.\nApply engineering, software, and mathematical analysis principles to the development of system solutions.\nCollaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to develop and evaluate hardware-software interfaces, operational performance requirements, and overall system design.\nDevelop test procedures and comprehensive technical documentation.\nCommunicate within and outside of the organization to explain and influence changes to practices, processes, and technical approaches.\nWhat required background will make you successful?\nBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field\nExperience with one or more high-level language for signal processing algorithm development: Python (NumPy SciPy), MATLAB, X-Midas, etc.\nSome experience with some combination of C/C++\nExperience with design of digital signal processing algorithms\nExperience with implementation of signal processing algorithms on CPU, GPU, and or/FPGA\nAbility to communicate algorithms and designs in written and oral reports\nAbility to quickly grasp and come up-to-speed with complex code bases/designs\nExperience in one or more of the following areas: Satellite communications\nCellular communications systems\nModern wireless protocols\nModern modulation schemes\nModem design\nCoding theory and techniques\nRadio Frequency (RF) system design\nRadar/Sonar/LIDAR\nElectronic Warfare \nNovel signal processing algorithm development\nSignal geolocation\nSignal conditioning\nInterference canceling\nStatistical signal processing techniques (Parameter estimation, state estimation using Kalman and particle filters, detection systems, adaptive filtering, etc.)\nArray processing and beamforming\n\nAbility to obtain and maintain TS/SCI security clearance\nUS CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED\nPreferred skills: \nAdvanced degree in EE or related field (applied math, physics, etc)\nExperience with Linux\nStrong software implementation background\nAbility to lead teams of 2-3 multidisciplinary engineers/scientists\nDemonstrated success working with geographically distributed teams\nInterest, aptitude, and/or experience in participating as a technical contributor to business capture\n\nWhere is the position located?\nThis position is located at our Centennial, CO office.\n*The likely salary range for this position is $190,000 to $233,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary.
