C&A is a multinational retail clothing brand, with stores in all Europe. We are currently collaborating with their e-commerce division, with the headquarters in Düsseldorf (Germany), you will work in a distributed team from our office in Málaga (Spain) or from home.What you'll be doing\nYou will join a modern data engineering initiative focused on building AI-assisted data pipelines using the latest cloud technologies. Rather than traditional data engineering alone, you will leverage AI coding assistants to automate and accelerate the entire data lifecycle, from source ingestion to trusted business-ready data.\nWorking within a Modern Data Stack (Snowflake, dbt Cloud and Fivetran), you will collaborate in an AI-first engineering environment where connected tools and intelligent workflows help streamline development, testing and deployment.\nBuild and maintain data pipelines from source systems into Snowflake.\nConfigure and manage Fivetran data ingestion.\nDevelop dbt models, tests, macros and documentation.\nDesign staging, intermediate, mart and semantic data layers.\nDefine and implement data contracts.\nBuild automated testing and data quality validation.\nUse AI coding assistants (such as Claude Code) to improve engineering productivity.\nWork with MCP-connected tools to orchestrate workflows across the data platform.\nReview, validate and productionize AI-generated code.\nContribute reusable templates, best practices and engineering standards.\nWhat you'll bring\n4+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or Analytics Engineer.\nStrong hands-on experience with Snowflake.\nPractical experience with dbt Cloud (models, tests, macros, documentation, CI/CD).\nAdvanced SQL and data modeling skills.\nExperience building and maintaining ELT data pipelines in modern cloud environments.\nHands-on experience with Fivetran or similar ELT/ingestion tools (e.g. Airbyte, Stitch, Matillion).\nExperience developing and maintaining production-grade end-to-end data pipelines.\nExperience with Git-based development workflows.\nUnderstanding of CI/CD concepts.\nExperience implementing:Automated data testing\nData documentation\nData quality best practices\n\nExperience using AI coding assistants (Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot or similar) as part of the software development lifecycle, including reviewing and validating AI-generated code.\nExperience working with a Modern Data Stack.\nNice to have:Experience with Claude Code.\nExperience with MCP (Model Context Protocol).\nExperience with Cursor.\nExperience building or maintaining Semantic Layers (including dbt Semantic Layer).\nKnowledge of Data Contracts.\nExperience with Data Observability tools.\nExperience with Data Quality Frameworks (e.g. Great Expectations,
