You'll set technical standards for the team, lead incident response, and mentor engineers.\n\nWhat You'll Do : \n\nCloud architecture and operations : \n\n- Design and operate AWS infrastructure : multi-account and multi-region structure, VPC and network design, IAM, compute, and storage.\n\n- Plan and test high availability and disaster recovery, and run regular cost reviews.\n\n- Support GCP workloads, org-level IAM, and org policy.\n\n- Maintain consistent networking, connectivity, and guardrails across clouds and on-prem.\n\nInfrastructure as code and automation : \n\n- Own Terraform module design, remote state, and CI/CD-driven plan/apply with drift detection.\n\n- Use Ansible or equivalent for configuration management of Linux systems.\n\n- Automate operational and lifecycle work with Python, PowerShell, or Bash, vendor APIs, and workflow platforms.\n\nIdentity and access : \n\n- Own Okta (Identity Engine) architecture : SSO (SAML/OIDC), SCIM lifecycle provisioning, MFA, authentication policy, and Device Trust.\n\n- Manage hybrid identity across Active Directory and Entra ID, including sync and federation.\n\n- Own service-account and machine-identity lifecycle, secrets management, and least-privilege role design.\n\nReliability and observability : \n\n- Define SLIs and SLOs with service owners, and build the metrics, logs, traces, dashboards, and alerting.\n\n- Work with paging and ITSM tooling and OpenTelemetry-based instrumentation.\n\n- Join the on-call rotation, lead major incidents, write RCAs, and drive fixes.\n\nSecurity and compliance : \n\n- Drive vulnerability remediation and hardening.\n\n- Own audit evidence collection and remediation for SOC 2 or similar.\n\nLeadership : \n\n- Review designs and pull requests, mentor engineers, and maintain runbooks and architecture documentation.\n\nRequired Qualifications : \n\n- 6+ years in systems, infrastructure, or cloud engineering.\n\n- Production AWS architecture experience.\n\n- Hands-on GCP experience.\n\n- Terraform at scale.\n\n- Production Okta experience.\n\n- Working knowledge of Active Directory and Entra ID in a hybrid environment.\n\n- Strong networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, load balancing, firewalls).\n\n- Linux administration.\n\n- Proficiency in Python or PowerShell, plus Bash.\n\n- Experience with an observability stack.\n\n- Willingness to join an on-call rotation.\n\nOn-Call : \n\nPrimary/secondary rotation, roughly one week in 4, including weekends.\n\nSkills\nAWS, Site Reliability, Linux, Identity Management, Google
