We’re currently looking for:\nThe Network Engineer is responsible for supporting the design, implementation, operation, and improvement of RingCentral’s global corporate network infrastructure. This role helps ensure that network services operate reliably, securely, and within established design and performance specifications.\nThe engineer will participate in network upgrades, deployments, operational monitoring, capacity planning, performance analysis, and troubleshooting. This position will handle complex network incidents, escalate when needed, and work closely with senior engineers, IT operations teams, vendors, and security teams to restore and improve service.\nThis role is expected to contribute to technical documentation, standards, automation, and knowledge sharing across the network team.\nResponsibilities:\nSupport the design, implementation, and operation of reliable, scalable enterprise networks supporting real-time services.\n\nOperate and maintain RingCentral’s global corporate network environment.\n\nExecute routine and planned network changes, service provisioning, and infrastructure deployments.\n\nTroubleshoot network, application, and connectivity issues; perform fault isolation, service recovery, and incident analysis.\n\nProvide Level 2/Level 3 technical support to global IT teams and participate in escalation handling.\n\nMonitor network capacity, availability, and performance; identify improvement opportunities and potential risks.\n\nParticipate in 24x7 on-call rotations.\n\nWork with vendors and service providers to troubleshoot incidents, manage circuit issues, and support implementations.\n\nAssist with the evaluation and adoption of new network technologies, tools, and methodologies.\n\nDevelop and maintain network standards, procedures, diagrams, and operational documentation.\n\nContribute to automation and AI-enabled operational improvements where appropriate.\n\nShare knowledge and provide technical assistance to network engineers and administrators.\n\nTo succeed in this role you must have experience in:\n4-6 years of hands-on expertise in enterprise infrastructure architecture, network design, and global operations\n\nExperience supporting high-availability LAN, WAN, WLAN, and Internet connectivity services.\n\nHands-on experience with multi-vendor network and security technologies, such as Juniper, Cisco, Mist, Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet, Cato, or Zscaler.\n\nExperience in AWS/GCP cloud architecture deployment and IT infrastructure setups for new site expansions.\n\nExperience in troubleshooting complex network and application connectivity issues.\n\nUnderstanding of network design principles, change management, incident management, SLAs, and operational best practices.\n\nFamiliarity with automation, scripting, or AI-assisted operational tools is preferred.\n\nLinux proficiency is preferred.\n\nCore Technical Knowledge:\nIP routing protocols, including BGP and OSPF; familiarity with EIGRP, IS-IS, IP Multicast, and MPLS is a plus.\n\nIPv4 required; IPv6 knowledge preferred.\n\nTCP/IP fundamentals, including packet-level troubleshooting.\n\nNetwork protocols including TCP, UDP, HTTP, DNS, SIP, RTP, and SSL/TLS.\n\nNetwork infrastructure including LAN, WAN, WLAN, routing, switching, load balancing, and monitoring.\n\nNetwork security concepts including firewalls, proxies, ACLs, IPSec, VPNs, PKI, and SSL/TLS.\n\nNetwork concepts including VRRP, LACP, EtherChannel, STP, and QoS.\n\nExperience supporting real-time voice and video traffic is preferred.\n\nFamiliarity with physical networking concepts, including Ethernet, fiber optics, and structured cabling.\n\nWorking Knowledge:\nNetwork monitoring and management tools.\n\nPacket capture and analysis tools such as Wireshark, IXIA, Cacti, iPerf, or equivalent.\n\nVoice and video over IP technologies.\n\nCloud networking concepts, including AWS networking, preferred.\n\nNetwork documentation, diagramming, and change-management processes.\n\nNetwork file systems and collaboration technologies, including NFS, CIFS, and NAS, is a plus.\n\nFamiliarity:\nLinux, macOS, and Windows administration.\n\nScripting or programming languages such as Bash, Python, PowerShell, Perl, Ruby, or PHP.\n\nEnterprise applications and services, including email, DNS, databases, SQL, web servers, and identity services.\n\nServer hardware and virtualization concepts.\n\nNon-IP networking protocols are a plus.\n\nEducation and Personal Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline; equivalent practical experience may be considered.\n\nIndustry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA, JNCIS, PCNSA, NSE, or equivalent are preferred.\n\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\n\nAbility to work effectively both independently and as part of a global team.\n\nStrong written and verbal communication skills in English.\n\nStrong organizational skills and attention to detail.\n\nWillingness to learn, take ownership, and grow into broader technical responsibilities.\n\nWhat we offer:\nComprehensive HMO package (medical and dental)\n\nPaid time off and paid sick leave\n\nQuarterly Performance Bonus\n\nEmployee Assistance and Wellness Programs\n\nRingCentral’s work culture is the backbone of our success.
