Diesel Mechanic

Location: Birmingham, AL

Pay: $25 to $32 per hour

Full-time, W-2 employment with Rinvio, working on site with our client.

Support the reliability of diesel equipment through thoughtful fault diagnosis, thorough servicing and careful repair work. This onsite role suits a mechanic who takes pride in sound workmanship, approaches problems logically and communicates clearly about equipment condition.

What you will do

• Examine diesel machinery for developing faults and determine which maintenance tasks require attention.
• Use suitable troubleshooting methods alongside service guidance to pinpoint the source of equipment problems.
• Carry out preventive servicing and assigned repairs, staying within the scope of your skills and training.
• Verify repair quality and equipment operation before release for use, and flag issues that remain unresolved.
• Maintain service records detailing inspection findings, completed repairs and replacement parts to support an accurate maintenance history.
• Store tools neatly, maintain an orderly workspace and observe the safety practices established for each task.

What you bring

• Previous practical involvement in maintaining and repairing diesel equipment is preferred.
• A structured troubleshooting style, with care taken to confirm that repairs have addressed the identified fault.
• Confidence interpreting service directions and producing straightforward, readable records of completed tasks.
• Consistent attention to safe working practices, quality of work and clear communication with the service team.
• A reliable, practical work style, including recognizing when guidance or additional assistance is needed.

Weekly pay, plus medical, dental and vision plans available. No per diem.
