Our values - care, courage and curiosity - guide how we work and how we treat each other.\nAbout the role\nWe are looking for a Controller - Fixed Plant to support our Pilbara operations through the safe coordination and monitoring of fixed plant activities from our Integrated Control room near Perth Airport.\nThis is a great opportunity for an operationally focused, safety-driven individual to work in a 24/7 control room environment on an even time roster, contributing to the safe and efficient operation of a highly integrated mining network.\nReporting to the Supervisor PMO Control and working in a collaborative and fast-paced control room environment within the Pilbara Mine Control team, you will be:\nCoordinating and monitoring fixed plant operations to ensure safe, stable and efficient performance\nAdhering to Rio Tinto standards, policies and procedures at all times\nIdentifying and managing operational risks, escalating issues where required\nCollaborating with site-based teams and other control room disciplines to support production and maintenance activities\nUsing operational systems and real-time data to identify deviations and support timely decision-making\nSupporting the execution of daily and short-term operational plans\nContributing to continuous improvement initiatives across safety, reliability and performance\nAbout you\nA commitment to the safety of yourself and your team\nExperience in operational control, fixed plant or process operations within a mining or industrial environment\nAbility to remain calm and effective in high-pressure, time-critical situations\nClear communication and collaboration skills\nTechnical understanding of fixed plant or processing operations\nComputer literacy and confidence using operational and Microsoft-based systems\nIf this role excites you but you don’t meet every requirement, we still encourage you to apply.
