Our values - care, courage and curiosity - guide how we work and how we treat each other.\nAbout the role\nWe are looking for a Planner to join the RSM Planning team and support the safe, reliable delivery of planned maintenance across rail plant and equipment. In this role, you will turn maintenance requirements into clear, executable work plans, schedules and packages, helping teams coordinate people, materials, equipment and contractors effectively. This is an opportunity to influence planning quality, improve work management processes and build strong partnerships across Engineering and Maintenance Execution.\nWhat you’ll be doing\n\nReporting to the RSM Planning Superintendent and working in a collaborative operational team, you will be:\nPrepare maintenance plans, schedules and work packages for plant equipment, including detailed scopes, material requirements, resource needs and estimated costs.\nCoordinate the availability and allocation of materials, equipment and other resources so planned work can be executed safely and efficiently.\nBuild work schedules and priorities with Maintenance Execution Supervisors, Superintendents, Engineering teams, external departments and suppliers.\nApply relevant statutory, legislative and site requirements when developing maintenance plans and work packages.\nIdentify improvement opportunities and implement practical changes that strengthen maintenance planning and work management processes.\nDeliver projects identified by the Maintenance Execution and Engineering teams, from planning through to coordinated execution.\nManage contractors through the Contractor Management System process to complete project and planned maintenance activities.\nAbout you\nWe’re looking for someone whose experience aligns with the key requirements below.
