You will also contribute to system upgrades and lifecycle management, knowledge management and the ongoing optimisation of production systems.\nThis is a great opportunity for someone with strong mining systems experience who enjoys combining hands-on technical problem solving with stakeholder engagement and continuous improvement.\nKey Responsibilities\nProvide Level 2 and Level 3 support for mining systems, including Wenco Fleet Management System, CAT Terrain and Wenco Readyline\nIdentify, initiate and deliver system improvements and upgrades through effective lifecycle management\nDefine and develop business and functional requirements in collaboration with key stakeholders\nTranslate operational requirements into functional and technical solutions\nSupport the ongoing health, maintenance and performance of relevant production systems\nEngage with technology vendors to resolve issues and identify business improvement opportunities\nSupport appropriate service management processes and practices\nContribute to the optimisation and utilisation of technology solutions\nDevelop and maintain internal technical documentation and knowledge resources\nBuild productive relationships across operations, technical teams, vendors and other stakeholders\nWhat you’ll bring\nTo be successfully considered for this role, you will have:\nA Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Information Systems or a related discipline\nExperience working with fleet management or mining production systems\nProficiency with Wenco Fleet Management System, CAT Terrain and/or Wenco Readyline\nTechnical knowledge and experience across Windows operating systems and Windows Server environments\nKnowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and SSRS\nAn understanding of mining practices and plant or operational environments\nStrong analytical and problem-solving capability, with the ability to troubleshoot complex system issues\nStrong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills\nThe ability to collaborate across multiple teams, regions and time zones\nStrong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate complex business requirements into practical technical solutions\nIt will also be beneficial if you have:\nExperience with other Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) or operational technology platforms\nKnowledge of historians, Power BI and/or SSRS\nFamiliarity with enterprise platforms, integration patterns, data and analytics ecosystems\nKnowledge of cyber security, architecture governance and risk considerations within industrial environments\nWhat we offer\nA work environment where safety is always the number one priority\nA permanent position working directly for Rio Tinto\nA competitive base salary reflective of your skills and experience\nAnnual incentive program\nOngoing access to family-friendly health and medical wellbeing support\nLeave for all of life’s reasons, including personal, cultural and parental leave\nCareer development and learning opportunities within a global organisation\nWhere you’ll be working\nOur Brisbane office is located in the heart of Queensland's capital city, close to public transport, dining and cultural precincts.
