Our values - care, courage and curiosity - guide how we work and how we treat each other\nAbout the role\nWe are looking for a Superintendent Environment to lead a team of Environment Specialists and Site Environmental Advisors to deliver environmental compliance, risk management and performance outcomes across supported assets.\nYou will provide leadership of environmental delivery through planning, prioritisation, resource coordination, assurance and stakeholder engagement, ensuring environmental obligations, standards and environmental management system requirements are consistently implemented.\nThis is an excellent opportunity for an experienced leader to influence environmental performance, support operational decision-making and strengthen environmental capability across a large and complex operational environment.\nWhat you'll be doing\nReporting to the Manager Technical Delivery, you will:\nLead and develop a team of Environment Specialists and Site Environmental Advisors, fostering a strong safety culture, technical excellence and high performance.\n\n Provide technical leadership and oversight for Environment Specialists and Site Environmental Advisors, strengthening capability, consistency and quality of environmental delivery.\nBalance environmental priorities and allocate resources across multiple supported assets to optimise risk management and delivery outcomes.\nProvide coaching, mentoring and capability development to strengthen environmental risk, compliance and governance expertise across the team.\nDrive environmental compliance, risk management and performance outcomes across supported assets through effective planning, prioritisation and resource management.\nAct as the primary environmental interface for asset leadership teams, supporting operational decision-making and delivery of environmental obligations.\nProvide technical oversight of environmental approvals, commitments, licences, compliance requirements and environmental management systems.\nLead environmental incident response, investigations, corrective actions and learnings to improve environmental performance and prevent recurrence.\nCoordinate environmental assurance activities including audits, inspections, critical control verification and action management, ensuring findings are translated into measurable outcomes.\n\n Build effective partnerships with technical, operational, regulatory and external stakeholders to manage complex environmental issues and improve environmental performance.\nAbout you\nWe’re looking for someone whose experience aligns with the key requirements below.
