Our values - care, courage and curiosity - guide how we work and how we treat each other.\nAbout the role\nWe are seeking a Supervisor Cranes to join our Major Works team supporting shutdown and major maintenance activities across Rio Tinto’s Pilbara operations.\nThis is an excellent opportunity for an experienced frontline leader who thrives in a dynamic environment and can effectively respond to changing priorities, emerging work and operational breakdowns. You will provide onsite leadership, development and support to crane and transport operators while coordinating the safe and timely delivery of lifting and transportation requirements.\nWorking closely with Coordinators, Planners, operational teams and Contractors, you will play a key role in supporting shutdown execution, resource coordination and the delivery of major works across multiple Pilbara operations.\nWhat you’ll be doing\nReporting to the Superintendent Cranes & Belts you will:\nPromote and lead a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with Rio Tinto standards, policies and procedures.\nLead and support crane and belts teams through the safe and efficient execution of shutdown and major maintenance activities.\nProvide coaching, mentoring and development to team members to support safe behaviours and strong performance.\nCoordinate resources and respond effectively to changing priorities, emerging work and breakdown requirements.\nBuild strong working relationships across maintenance, operations, planning and contractor teams.\nSupport workforce planning, resource coordination and daily shutdown execution activities.\nMonitor work progress and support the delivery of shutdown schedules against safety, quality and performance targets.\nSupport contractor management processes and ensure work is completed in line with site and operational requirements.\nContribute to reporting, cost management and continuous improvement initiatives.\nAbout you\n\nWe’re looking for someone whose experience aligns with the key requirements below.
