As an ASIC Technician, you will be responsible for installing, deploying, diagnosing, (minor) repairs, and upgrading all hardware and equipment while ensuring its optimal performance. The individual will also troubleshoot problem areas in a timely and accurate fashion. This position will directly support our datacenter operations at our Calvert City, Kentucky mining locations. It is a fully onsite role. The scheduled shift for this role is Monday through Friday, with typical hours of 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM.\nWhat you'll be doing\nAssist with preparing, maintaining, and deploying ASIC miners, including constructing, installing, and managing cable layouts for server racks\nInstall networked peripheral devices and networking hardware products for ASIC miners\nPerform on-site analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of complex ASIC miner issues, and recommend and implement corrective hardware solutions\nConduct additional troubleshooting methods on ASIC miners in support of research and development efforts\nPerform routine upkeep tasks such as air filter replacement and other preventative maintenance for ASIC miners\nAssist in maintaining an accurate inventory of all ASIC miners, hash boards, control boards, and network switches, and accurately document hardware failure, repair, installation, and removal\nLiaise with, and provide training and support to, staff and coworkers on ASIC operation and related issues\nAssist in developing long-term strategies and capacity planning for meeting future hardware needs with the Site Manager\nWhat you'll have\nHands-on hardware troubleshooting experience. \nAbility to work in a fast-paced environment where manual labor will be necessary during deployment days and initial setup of facility. \nAbility to operate tools, components, and peripheral accessories. \nAble to read and understand technical manuals, procedural documentation, and OEM guides. \nAbility to conduct research into hardware issues as required. \nStrong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment\nStrong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present ideas in clear, user-friendly language\nSelf-motivated and detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills\nAbility to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. \nA+, Network+ certifications are optional but a plus. \nPhysical requirements and work environment\nMust be physically able to climb ladders and access tight or awkward spaces as required.\nMust be able to bend, reach, stoop, and pull, with good manual dexterity.\nAbility to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods\nAbility to lift and move equipment as needed (50 pounds)\nAbility to work onsite in a mining or data center environment (heat, noise, etc.)\nExposure to high noise levels and varying temperatures\nSafety Requirements\nPPE & Compliance: Strictly adhere to all site safety protocols and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times (e.g., safety glasses, hearing protection, steel-toed boots).\nHazard Awareness: Proactively identify, report, and mitigate potential workplace hazards or unsafe conditions.\nStandards: Maintain compliance with OSHA regulations and internal safety training.\nOrganization: Keep all work areas clean and free of obstructions to prevent workplace accidents.\nCompensation and Benefits\nSalary commensurate with experience. \n401(k) retirement plan: Incudes a generous company match.\nComprehensive health coverage: Multiple medical plan options, including 100% company-paid plans, HAS & FSA.\nWork-life balance: Paid time off, sick time and floating holidays.\nWellness & lifestyle perks: Enjoy free gym memberships, pet insurance, childcare discounts, employee assistance program, and more to support your life both in and out of work.\nRiot is an equal opportunity employer.
