As part of the team, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining cooling infrastructure and mechanical systems within our mining facility. You will also perform complex troubleshooting, lead maintenance projects, mentor junior technicians, and support initiatives to improve equipment reliability and operational efficiency. This is a fully on-site position supporting our operations at our Corsicana, TX facility.\nWhat you'll be doing\nTroubleshoot and repair complex mechanical issues involving cooling systems and facility infrastructure.\nDiagnose failures in pumps, motors, heat exchangers, filtration systems, cooling towers, dry coolers, valves, and piping networks.\nPerform advanced preventive and predictive maintenance activities.\nAnalyze system performance data and recommend improvements to maximize uptime and efficiency.\nLead equipment overhauls, rebuilds, and major maintenance projects.\nPerform root cause failure analysis (RCFA) and implement corrective actions.\nSupport facility expansion projects and new miner installations.\nAssist in developing maintenance procedures, SOPs, and training materials.\nMentor and train Tier 1 technicians.\nCoordinate with electrical, mining, and operations teams during maintenance activities.\nMaintain accurate maintenance records and asset histories.\nParticipate in on-call rotations and emergency response activities.\nWhat you'll have\nHigh school diploma or GED preferred.\nTechnical degree, apprenticeship, military maintenance training, or equivalent experience preferred.\nExtensive experience in industrial mechanical maintenance preferred.\nExperience with immersion cooling systems, industrial pumping systems, HVAC, power generation, manufacturing, or data center infrastructure preferred.\nStrong understanding of fluid systems, heat transfer, mechanical equipment reliability, and industrial maintenance practices.\nAbility to read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical documentation.\nInternal candidates must be recommended by their supervisor.\nAdvanced mechanical troubleshooting and diagnostics.\nUnderstanding of pump curves, fluid dynamics, and heat transfer principles.\nExperience with predictive maintenance techniques.\nKnowledge of bearing systems, mechanical seals, alignment, vibration analysis, and lubrication programs.\nStrong root cause analysis skills.\nLeadership and mentoring capabilities.\nProficiency with CMMS platforms and maintenance reporting.\nAbility to prioritize multiple maintenance tasks in a high-uptime environment.\nPreferred but not required:\nTechnical degree, apprenticeship, military maintenance training, or equivalent experience.\nExperience with immersion cooling systems, industrial pumping systems, HVAC, power generation, manufacturing, or data center infrastructure.\nPhysical requirements and work environment\nAbility to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods\nAbility to lift and move equipment as needed (50 pounds)\nAbility to work onsite in a mining or data center environment (heat, noise, etc.)\nExposure to high noise levels and varying temperatures\nSafety Requirements\nPPE & Compliance: Strictly adhere to all site safety protocols and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times (e.g., safety glasses, hearing protection, steel-toed boots).\nHazard Awareness: Proactively identify, report, and mitigate potential workplace hazards or unsafe conditions.\nStandards: Maintain compliance with OSHA regulations and internal safety training.\nOrganization: Keep all work areas clean and free of obstructions to prevent workplace accidents.\nCompensation and Benefits\nSalary commensurate with experience. \n401(k) retirement plan: Incudes a generous company match.\nComprehensive health coverage: Multiple medical plan options, including 100% company-paid plans, HAS & FSA.\nWork-life balance: Paid time off, sick time and floating holidays.\nWellness & lifestyle perks: Enjoy free gym memberships, pet insurance, childcare discounts, employee assistance program, and more to support your life both in and out of work.\nRiot is an equal opportunity employer.
