As a Level 2 Miner Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for the advanced diagnostics and repairs to all miners on site and compiling reports to share with management. This on-site position will directly support our Miner Maintenance Team at our Rockdale, TX facility.\nWhat you'll be doing\nPerform advanced diagnostic and repair techniques to all miners on site to include diagnosing power supply-PSU’s, control board, perform firmware uploads - change the settings of miners, handle escalated board ticket repairs, perform diagnostics on power distribution units.\nCompile reports of all non-hashing machines in assigned area. Commission new miner installations.\nIdentify and report all network outages to Assistant Supervisor.\nAssist in keeping inventory of parts and tools using a check out procedure.\nTake lead on tracking inventory of all assigned building in accordance with compliance.\nAssist in Research & Development projects.\nTrain Tier 1 Technicians.\nBuild heat maps of immersion tanks to help diagnose overheating sections.\nOperate a scissor lift at heights up to 20 feet to install and maintain bitcoin miners.\nOther duties may be assigned.\nWhat you'll have\nStrong multitasking and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize competing tasks effectively.\nAbility to work independently, manage priorities, and perform effectively under pressure with minimal supervision.\nStrong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and diagnose basic equipment and machine failures.\nDetail-oriented approach with a strong focus on accuracy and quality.\nAbility to identify and promptly communicate significant issues within the Data Center that may impact the Miner Maintenance team.\nStrong verbal and written communication skills.\nAbility to work collaboratively and contribute effectively in a team environment.\nAbility to work safely at heights using lifts and ladders.\nHigh school diploma or GED required.\nProficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and production monitoring software.\nBasic knowledge and hands-on experience using tools such as multimeters, screwdrivers, test lights, box cutters, and wire cutters.\nExperience with computer troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair required.\nExperience troubleshooting basic networking issues.\nAbility to troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve basic equipment and machine failures.\nPhysical requirements and work environment\nMust be physically able to climb ladders and access tight or awkward spaces as required.\nMust be able to bend, reach, stoop, and pull, with good manual dexterity.\nAbility to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods\nAbility to lift and move equipment as needed (75 Pounds)\nAbility to work onsite in a mining or data center environment (heat, noise, etc.)\nExposure to high noise levels and varying temperatures\nSafety Requirements\nPPE & Compliance: Strictly adhere to all site safety protocols and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times (e.g., safety glasses, hearing protection, steel-toed boots).\nHazard Awareness: Proactively identify, report, and mitigate potential workplace hazards or unsafe conditions.\nStandards: Maintain compliance with OSHA regulations and internal safety training.\nOrganization: Keep all work areas clean and free of obstructions to prevent workplace accidents.\nCompensation and Benefits\nSalary commensurate with experience. \n401(k) retirement plan: Incudes a generous company match.\nComprehensive health coverage: Multiple medical plan options, including 100% company-paid plans, HAS & FSA.\nWork-life balance: Paid time off, sick time and floating holidays.\nWellness & lifestyle perks: Enjoy free gym memberships, pet insurance, childcare discounts, employee assistance program, and more to support your life both in and out of work.\nRiot is an equal opportunity employer.
