Partnering closely with Sales, this role owns the technical evaluation stage on priority AI and Hyperscale opportunities, translating complex customer requirements into scalable, standards-based solutions, proposals, and cost estimates. As a member of the team, you will develop and put in place the templates, tools, and processes the function runs on. You will work with Sales, Operations, Design, Construction, Finance, and Supplier partners to make sure what we sell can be delivered, driving strong customer outcomes and contract value.\nThis position will be a Remote position with travel expected.\nWhat you'll do\nServe as the technical lead on priority hyperscale and enterprise opportunities, translating customer business and IT infrastructure requirements into data center solutions\nLead solution requirement sessions with clients and vendors, delivering technical proposals, architectural overviews, and facility tours\nSupport Sales in positioning solutions and reviewing technical exhibits and lease terms, ensuring commitments align with what our sites can deliver\nConduct detailed assessments of power, cooling, network, and space requirements for customer deployments\nDevelop and review cost estimates, bills of materials, and scopes of work for large-scale infrastructure deployments\nEstablish standard templates, processes, and design review practices for the team\nOwn technical content for RFP/RFI responses and support QBRs and periodic business reviews\nRepresent Riot at customer sites, OEM facilities, trade conferences, and industry events\nWhat you'll bring\n8+ years of technical experience in data center, cloud, or mission-critical infrastructure, AI and Hyperscale experience preferred\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent technical experience (e.g., Navy Nuclear or other military technical programs)\nProven track record winning complex technical deals as a hands-on solutions engineer, sales engineer, or design lead\nDeep knowledge of data center systems, including power, cooling (including liquid cooling for high-density AI/HPC), cabling, network architecture, and compliance (e.g., Uptime Tier, ASHRAE standards)\nAbility to build and defend cost models, bills of materials, and scopes of work\nStrong communication skills with technical teams and executive stakeholders, including customer C-level leaders\nCompensation and Benefits\nCompetitive Salary: $180,000 - $210,000 (commensurate with experience) + bonus + sign-on equity grant. \nLong-Term Growth: Eligible to participate in Riot’s equity incentive programs and share in the success you help build. \n401(k) Retirement Plan: Incudes a generous company match. \nComprehensive Health Coverage: Multiple medical plan options, including 100% company-paid plans. \nWellness & Lifestyle Perks: Enjoy free gym memberships, pet insurance, childcare discounts, and more to support your life both in and out of work. \nRiot is an equal opportunity employer.
