This is a player-coach role : you will set technical direction, personally solve the hardest modelling problems, and grow a high-performing engineering team.\n\nTechnical Leadership & Hands-on Delivery : \n\n- Own the end-to-end computer vision roadmap across Ripik's industrial portfolio.\n\n- Architect solutions for complex vision challenges : extreme class imbalance, multi-camera fusion, and real-time inference on constrained edge hardware.\n\n- Stay at the cutting edge of CV research (YOLO, SAM, Vision Transformers) and translate papers into production value.\n\n- Define engineering standards for the vision stack : DVC, CVAT, W&B, TensorRT, and CI/CD.\n\n- Drive inference optimisation to meet latency targets across NVIDIA Jetson and industrial PCs.\n\nTeam Building & People Growth : \n\n- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of 6-8 Computer Vision engineers.\n\n- Hire and onboard strong engineers through pairing and knowledge-sharing.\n\n- Manage sprint planning, task prioritisation, and delivery timelines.\n\n- Act as the primary technical interface between the CV team and cross-functional stakeholders.\n\nInnovation & Problem Solving : \n\n- Frame novel vision problems in industrial settings; design solutions combining classical image processing and deep learning.\n\n- Champion a data-centric AI approach : active learning, synthetic data, and production feedback loops.\n\n- Establish robust evaluation frameworks and A/B testing against production baselines.\n\nRequired Skills : \n\n- Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS, AI/ML, or Electrical Engineering.\n\n- 5-10 years of hands-on experience in computer vision with production deployment.\n\n- Deep proficiency in Python, PyTorch, and OpenCV.\n\n- Expertise in object detection, segmentation, anomaly detection, and tracking.\n\n- Experience with model families : YOLO, RT-DETR, SAM, and CNN backbones.\n\n- Production experience with TensorRT, ONNX, Docker, Kubernetes, and Cloud platforms.\n\n- Experience in high-growth start-ups.\n\nWhat Can You Expect?
