Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and scale Python backend services and APIs for the PA automation.
• Build reliable data pipelines and integrations with EMRs, SFTP and internal systems.
• Work on AI-driven document processing and structured data extraction.
• Implement performance optimisations, caching strategies, and fault-tolerant design.
• Collaborate with AI/ML and frontend teams on architecture, APIs, and data contracts.
• Ensure high code quality through testing, reviews, and best engineering practices.
• Contribute to system observability, reliability, and continuous improvement.
• Mentor junior engineers and participate in architectural decision-making.

Requirements:

• 2 to 5 years of experience building production-grade backend systems.
• Strong expertise in Python 3.10+ and async programming.
• Strong understanding of API design, microservices, and distributed systems.
• Proficiency with SQL/NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, BigQuery, Firestore).
• Experience with cloud platforms, GCP preferred (Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, Secret Manager).
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience writing robust unit and integration tests.
• Bonus: Experience integrating LLM APIs (OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, etc. ) into backend workflows.
• Understanding of prompt engineering, response parsing, and handling structured/unstructured outputs.
• Familiarity with RAG patterns, embeddings, or vector search (FAISS, Pinecone, etc. )
• Exposure to document processing pipelines (OCR, PDF parsing, text preprocessing).
