Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, the role owns the month-end close, consolidation, and statutory reporting cycle for a multi-entity, multi-jurisdiction digital infrastructure and internet service provider (ISP) group. He/she ensures that financial statements are accurate, timely, PFRS/IFRS-compliant, and audit-ready, and supports the statutory audit led by the Group’s audit manager.\nThis is a senior management role within the Finance team, positioned directly below the Group Financial Controller and accountable for the quality of the Group’s reported numbers, the strength of reporting controls, and the development of the financial reporting team.\nDuties and responsibilities\nFinancial reporting and consolidation\nOwn the monthly, quarterly, and annual close for all Group entities, delivering the close within agreed timelines\nPrepare and review consolidated and entity-level financial statements (statement of financial position, P&L, cash flows, changes in equity) and accompanying notes and schedules\nLead group consolidation, including intercompany eliminations, foreign currency translation, and reconciliation of intercompany balances across entities and jurisdictions\nPrepare management reporting packages, with quantified variance commentary against budget, forecast, and prior periods\nInterpret and apply new or amended PFRS/IFRS standards, prepare technical accounting position papers, and assess their impact on the Group\nReview intercompany billing and cost-plus arrangements for correct accounting, VAT, and withholding tax treatment, in coordination with the Tax team\nDigital infrastructure / ISP accounting\nApply PFRS 15 to subscriber, enterprise, wholesale, and bundled service revenue, including installation fees, promos, and contract assets/liabilities\nApply PFRS 16 to network-related leases (pole attachments, tower and site leases, IRU/dark fibre, office and warehouse leases)\nOversee accounting for network CAPEX: capitalisation of fibre build, construction-in-progress, CPE, and network equipment; useful-life reviews, impairment testing, and asset retirement\nEnsure GL-to-subledger reconciliation of fixed assets and CPE inventory across regional warehouses\nAudit support, controls, and governance\nSupport the statutory audit led by the Group’s audit manager by providing timely, complete financial reporting deliverables and resolving reporting-related audit queries\nPrepare financial statement schedules, reconciliations, and PBC items within the financial reporting scope; address audit adjustments affecting the financial statements\nImplement corrective actions on management letter points relating to financial reporting\nDesign, document, and maintain internal controls over financial reporting, including review controls, segregation of duties, and close checklists\nSupport internal audit, due diligence, lender, and investor reporting requirements as needed\nMulti-jurisdiction compliance\nEnsure timely and accurate statutory reporting to the SEC (AFS, GIS), BIR, and other regulators, including PEZA/BOI where applicable\nCoordinate reporting requirements across Group entities, regional branches, and foreign affiliates or counterparts, including group reporting packs prepared under different local requirements\nSupport regulatory reporting to the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) and other industry bodies, where financial data is required\nMonitor regulatory and accounting developments across jurisdictions and advise the Group Financial Controller on their impact\nLeadership and process improvement\nLead, coach, and develop the financial reporting team; set goals, review work, and manage performance\nDrive close automation, ERP optimisation, and reporting process improvements to shorten the close cycle and improve accuracy\nPartner with FP&A, Tax, Treasury, Billing, Network/Engineering, and Procurement to ensure complete and accurate financial data\nProvide ad hoc analysis and reports to the Group Financial Controller and senior management\nQualifications\nRequired\n\nCertified Public Accountant (CPA), Philippines\nBachelor’s degree in Accountancy\n8+ years of progressive accounting and financial reporting experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role\nAudit background: at least 3 years of external audit experience with a Big Four or reputable audit firm\n Industry background: at least 3 years in telecommunications, ISP, or digital infrastructure (fibre, data centres, towers, or network services)\n Multi-jurisdiction experience: group reporting and consolidation across multiple entities and jurisdictions, including cross-border or foreign-affiliate reporting\nStrong command of PFRS/IFRS, particularly PFRS 15, PFRS 16, PAS 16, PAS 36, and consolidation standards (PFRS 10)\nSolid working knowledge of Philippine regulatory requirements (SEC, BIR, and related agencies)\nProven experience leading accounting or financial reporting teams\nAdvanced Excel skills and hands-on experience with ERP systems\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills;
