The Project Manager is accountable for high level orchestration of the various internal and external teams to ensure best practice work is being delivered efficiently and on time. The PM will also be the Point of Contact (POC) for reporting and the coordinator of resource allocation (i.e. teams and significant assets e.g. OTDR, vans). At RISE, PMs are also expected to clear roadblocks to support their teams.
PM will typically work with the Engineering Manager and Project Engineers, as well as any other assigned resources such as 3rd parties.
The PM is responsible for getting all project data from Project Engineers and liaise with them to allocate the resources to ensure that the services delivered to customers are within the set standards and on-time. PM has responsibility of the timelines issued to client groups (e.g. Customer, Sales, SAQ, Management).
Also, the PM acts as the initial liaison between technical leads and internal stakeholders during projects (survey requests, installs, fault rectification) and serves as primary point of contact for internal customers (Sales, SAQ).
This role will facilitate the movement of tasks from accepting, assigning, scheduling, different requests from other departments for Survey Requests, Installation Requests, as well as coordinating with relevant Building Administration, external government bodies, and daily activities for the Site Ops Team and provide updates to Leads/Management and submitting monitoring reports
Qualifications
- Knowledgeable in inside plant and outside plant passive optical networks (or similar)
- Ability to work under high pressure situations
- Strong communication skills
- Strong OSP/ISP and/or fiber skills
- Adaptable and can work with minimum supervision
- Strong command of English
- Strong documentation skills and can use Google Suites or MS Office
Preferred
- Degree in relevant area
- Experience on GPON networks would be advantageous
- International experience
- Knowledgeable in telecommunications system design
- At least 2 years experience in a senior role with team leadership, supervisory and/or vendor management
Working conditions
