Learn more at risepoint.com.\nThe Impact You Will Make:\nThe Senior Learning Technologist builds, configures and quality-assures the online subject sites that students and academics use every day across Risepoint’s Australian university partners. Every subject that goes live depends on this work being right: settings, assessments, gradebooks, access, groups and media all configured correctly before launch, and issues resolved quickly when they surface afterwards.\nThis is a hands-on technical delivery role, engaged on a fixed-term basis to cover a period of planned leave. It works within Course Production alongside Learning Designers, partner academics and university technology teams, and is accountable for subject sites being technically ready and working on the launch date.This is a remote position that requires candidates to currently reside in Australia.\nHow You Will Bring Our Mission to Life\nWhat You Will Do:\nCreates, rolls over and maintains Canvas and Moodle subject sites, master shells and templates.\nConfigures course settings, cohorts, dates, user roles and access for academics, support teams and students.\nCompletes technical quality assurance for new and relaunched subjects, including final pre-launch checks, issue resolution and updates.\nEnsures LMS functionality, assessment settings, gradebooks, quizzes, groups, permissions and student experience meet university and Risepoint standards.\nManages and updates site templates, navigation, page layouts and design standards in partnership with Learning Designers.\nTriages and resolves LMS support requests and escalates complex issues to university technology teams or external vendors as needed.\nMaintains clear records of support activity, technical issues and resolutions, and communicates professionally with academics and partner teams.\nSupports video and media workflows, including coordinating video production, review, captions, transcripts and publishing to the LMS.\nWhat Success Looks Like:\nSubject sites are built, configured and signed off ahead of every launch date, with no last-minute escalations.\nTechnical quality assurance catches configuration issues before students see them.\nAcademics and partner teams get clear, timely answers to LMS queries and know who to come to.\nSite templates and standards are applied consistently across subjects rather than rebuilt each time.\nHandover at the end of the term is clean, with records and configurations documented so nothing is lost.\nProportion of subjects technically ready by the agreed pre-launch checkpoint.\nNumber of configuration or access issues identified at QA versus found after launch.\nTime to resolve LMS support requests, and volume escalated externally.\nAccuracy and completeness of support and configuration records maintained during the term.\nWhat You’ll Bring to the Team\nExperience That Matters Most:\nMust reside in Australia.\nAt least 3 years’ hands-on LMS administration experience, including Canvas and Moodle.\nAdvanced proficiency in administering and supporting Canvas and Moodle, including course creation, copy and rollover, templates, roles, permissions, groups, assessments, quizzes, gradebooks and visibility settings.\nStrong technical quality assurance capability, with experience testing course settings, assessment configuration, user access and end-to-end learner workflows before launch.\nStrong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to investigate LMS and learning technology issues, identify practical solutions and escalate appropriately when required.\nExperience supporting academic staff and students in an LMS environment and translating technical issues into clear, practical guidance.\nKnowledge of learning technology integrations and tools, including Turnitin, Cadmus, Echo360, H5P and assessment settings.\nExperience managing multiple subject sites, competing priorities and strict launch deadlines.\nStrong communication skills, with the ability to work closely with Learning Designers, external vendors and support teams.\nExperience That’s Great to Have:\n5 or more years’ LMS experience, including higher education, multi-subject delivery and LMS support.\nPreferred experience working in education setting, including higher education (universities), EdTech or online programme management (OPM)\nA qualification in education, educational technology, instructional design or IT, or equivalent experience.\nCanvas or Moodle certifications are also an advantage.\nExperience with Canvas Studio, Canvas course and group-management features, and Moodle category-level permissions.\nFamiliarity with technical support platforms and ticket queues.\nExperience with accessible media practices, including captioning, transcripts and embedding video into LMS sites.\nExperience using Workfront, Frame.io and Adobe Creative Cloud
