The co-op student will gain hands-on experience while working under the guidance of experienced engineers and participate in various projects related to electrical systems design, analysis, and implementation. Preference for students looking for longer term co-op positions (8-16 months).\nKey Responsibilities\nThe responsibilities include, but may not be limited to:\nAssist in the design and development of electrical systems for various projects, including Transmission and Distribution, Power generation, Industrial, and Renewables sectors.\nSupport senior engineers with project documentation, including schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical reports.\nContribute to the analysis of electrical systems and prepare relevant calculations and technical documents.\nParticipate in site visits and assist with project coordination among teams and stakeholders.\nHelp perform testing and commissioning of electrical systems under senior supervision.\nDevelop technical skills by engaging with various tools and software utilized in electrical engineering.\nWork collaboratively with engineers and other team members to contribute to project success.\nAdditional Information\nAs a condition of employment, candidates will be required to complete pre-employment screening including professional reference checks and a criminal record check.\nRequirements\nWhat We're Looking For\nCurrently enrolled in a Diploma or Degree program in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.\nStrong academic background in electrical concepts and principles.\nFamiliarity with electrical engineering design software and tools is an asset.\nGood problem-solving skills and the ability to work proactively on assigned tasks.\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively in a team environment.\nAbility to manage time efficiently and work on multiple tasks simultaneously.\nWillingness to learn and take initiative in a professional setting.\nMust be eligible for co-op work placement as per the program requirements.\nBenefits\nWhat We Offer\nCompetitive compensation with weekly pay periods \nOngoing training, development, and career advancement opportunities \nEmployee Assistance Program (confidential counselling support) \nWhy Rising Edge Group?\nSafety & Excellence: Safety is at the heart of everything we do.
