This is a hands-on, field-based opportunity for engineering and construction management students to gain practical experience working alongside Project Managers, Superintendents, Engineers, and field teams on active utility-scale projects.\nCo-ops will support project execution throughout the project lifecycle, from planning and procurement through construction, testing, commissioning, and closeout. Depending on project needs and the timing of the assignment, co-ops may have the opportunity to support projects for 3 months, 6 months or up to 1 year, gaining exposure to different aspects of field operations, project management, engineering, and construction.\nKey Responsibilities\nThe responsibilities include, but may not be limited to:\nSupport Project Managers, Superintendents, and field teams with day-to-day project execution\nReview drawings, specifications, and project documents for constructability and field requirements\nAssist with tracking project progress, quantities, materials, and equipment\nSupport RFIs, submittals, change orders, and other project documentation\nPrepare and maintain daily reports, progress reports, project documentation, and other required records\nAssist with scheduling and tracking work activities against project milestones\nParticipate in field walks, inspections, coordination meetings, and project planning activities\nSupport quality control activities and documentation to ensure work meets project specifications and requirements\nSupport and maintain environmental compliance requirements and project documentation\nAssist with material procurement, receiving, inventory, and field coordination\nAssist with cost tracking, reporting, and project controls\nCoordinate with subcontractors, vendors, engineering teams, and field crews\nMaintain accurate project records and daily field documentation\nSupport testing, commissioning, and project closeout activities\nAssist with identifying and resolving field issues and communicating project needs to the appropriate team members\nPerform other duties as needed to support successful project execution\nAdditional Information\nAs a condition of employment, candidates will be required to complete pre-employment screening including professional reference checks and a criminal record check.\nRequirements\nWhat You'll Bring\nCurrently pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; relevant education, experience, or a combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.\nAvailable for a 3-month, 6-month, or up to 1-year co-op assignment, with 6-month assignments preferred based on project and business needs.\nStrong interest in electrical infrastructure, power delivery, construction, or EPC\nStrong communication, organization, problem-solving, and time-management skills\nAbility to work effectively in a field-based construction environment\nWillingness to relocate and/or travel to project sites as required\nAbility to work collaboratively with project teams, subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel\nProficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, preferred\nFamiliarity with Bluebeam, AutoCAD, scheduling software, or other construction/project management systems is a plus\nPrevious construction, engineering, utility, or internship experience preferred but not required\nValid driver's license and reliable transportation\nAbility to meet the physical and environmental requirements of an active construction site\nCommitment to safety, quality, teamwork, and professional development\nBenefits\nWhat We Offer\nCompetitive compensation with weekly pay periods \nGenerous paid time off \n401(k) employer matching \nComprehensive benefits package (medical, dental and vision) \nCompany-paid safety training \nOngoing training, development, and career advancement opportunities \nEmployee Family Assistance Program (confidential counselling support) \nEmployee Referral Bonus Program \nWhy Rising Edge Group?\nSafety & Excellence: Safety is at the heart of everything we do.
