Guided by our STRIDE values - Safety, Teamwork, Responsibility, Integrity, Deliver, and Excellence - we foster a people focused culture of growth, mentorship and collaboration where safety always come first.\nWhat You'll Do (Brief Role Description)\nReporting to the Payroll Supervisor and Financial Controller, the Timesheet/Payroll Clerk is responsible for performing data entry and related accounting duties such as reconciling, processing and summarizing timesheets and payroll information. This position requires effective communication skill, attention to details and strong organizational skills to meet weekly payroll deadline, the ability to effectively communicate in person, on the phone and via e-mail.\nKey Responsibilities\nThe responsibilities include, but may not be limited to:\nCheck accuracy and completeness of daily timesheet submissions and publish timesheet.\nWork with Project Controllers and Managers to ensure an effective and efficient timesheet approval process is carried out.\nFollow-up with Area Managers and timesheet submitter to ensure the accuracy of timesheets entries related to labor and employee lodging on a weekly basis.\nTrack and verify billable versus non-billable time and “Train and Travel” time.\nInvestigate all timesheet discrepancies in a timely manner.\nWork with HR to track benefits deductions and ensure accuracy of employee setup.\nEnsure any vacation and various earnings are documented and entered accurately into Viewpoint.\nAssist timesheet submitter with related timesheet submission issues.\nRespond to pay related inquiries from employee.\nAssist with office support needs such as filings and year-end reconciliation.\nMaintain timesheet backlogs and adjustments.\nAdditional Information\nAs a condition of employment, candidates will be required to complete pre-employment screening including professional reference checks and a criminal record check.\nRequirements\nWhat We're Looking For\nDiploma in Payroll, Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration is preferred.\nProficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications is a must\nExperience in ViewPoint Construction Software is considered an asset\nKnowledge of construction industry with a background in Accounting is desirable\nBenefits\nWhat We Offer\nCompetitive compensation with weekly pay periods \nGenerous paid time off \nRRSP-DPSP employer matching, increasing with years of service \nComprehensive benefits package (medical, dental, vision, and disability) \nOngoing training, development, and career advancement opportunities \nEmployee Assistance Program (confidential counselling support) \nEmployee Referral Bonus Program \nWhy Rising Edge Group?\nSafety & Excellence: Safety is at the heart of everything we do.
