When you join Arbon Equipment, you’re not just selling or servicing equipment - you’re building trusted partnerships with customers and growing your career with a company backed by the strength of Rite-Hite’s global innovation.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.\nTimely and proper inspection, repair, maintenance, and installation of customer equipment in a manner that exceeds customer expectations and that is consistent with Rite-Hite's image as the industry leader in customer service.\n\nDevelop and maintaingood customer relations in a manner that exemplifies Rite-Hite's image and commitment to customer service.\n\nCompliance with all company policiesand safety guidelines.\n\nPerform installation, inspection, and repair of equipment in the field in an expeditiousmanner while assuring the customer's needs are met and exceeded. This is mainly accomplishedindividually but may sometimes be accomplishedin small teams.\n\nAs skills and knowledge develop, guide other Service Technicians with less skills/knowledge through complex problems in the field. This may include training other Service Technicians in the proper field installation, service and repair of equipment and proper administrative procedures instilling Rite-Hite's commitment to customer service.\n\nUsing the handheld devices (or paper backup forms if needed) accurately complete all necessary paperwork associated with field service, repair, and installation, including service tickets, timesheets, open job tracking form and safety analysis sheets.\n\nMaintain compliance with operation and communication standards as per the Field Service Technician Handbook.\n\nThis position requires the operation of a service vehicle in compliance with DOT Driver Qualification standards, as well as truck-based cranes, forklifts, welders, torches, and power and hand tools.\n\nFollow all customer-specific requirements, policies,safety guidelinesand directions on their work sites.\n\nWork closely with all other departments in the company, communicating and coordinating activities to efficiently maximize customer satisfaction.\n\n“Occasional (under 20% annually) domestic overnight travel may be required for training, supporting customers at other offices, etc. may be required.”\n\nOther duties may be assigned.\n\nEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE\nThe successful individual will possess:\nHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED); and\n\nOne to five year’s experiencein repair and service of hydraulic, mechanical,and electrical equipment\n\nKNOWLEDGE / SKILL REQUIREMENTS\nThe ideal individualwill demonstrate:\nService Technicians must have a valid driverslicense\n\nPassing DOT medical exam\n\nApplicable driver qualification standards at all times.\n\nAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, blueprints & schematics, operatingand maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.\n\nAbility to writeroutine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.\n\nAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.\n\nAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnishedin written, oral, or diagram form. The number of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
