The ideal candidate will possess technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently to ensure the safety, efficiency, and operational continuity of our facilities. The Maintenance Technician will work closely with the maintenance team to address a variety of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing issues.\nKey Responsibilities:\nMaintenance and Repairs: Perform regular maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems and equipment.\nPreventive Maintenance: Follow and document preventive maintenance schedules to minimize equipment downtime and prevent unexpected failures.\nTroubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and operational issues with equipment and systems in a timely manner to reduce disruptions.\nSystem Inspections: Conduct routine inspections of systems and machinery to identify wear, damage, or areas requiring repair or replacement.\nInstallation and Setup: Assist with the installation and setup of new equipment or systems, ensuring proper functionality and safety standards.\n Documentation: Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).\nSafety Compliance: Ensure all maintenance tasks comply with safety regulations and company policies, including environmental and regulatory requirements.\nVendor and Contractor Coordination: Assist in coordinating third-party vendors or contractors for specialized repairs or system installations.\nWork Orders: Respond promptly to work orders and maintenance requests, prioritizing tasks based on urgency and operational impact.\nTeam Support: Collaborate with the maintenance team to address complex issues, provide technical expertise, and share best practices for efficient repairs.\nQualifications:\nEducation: High school diploma or equivalent\nExperience: More than 2 years of hands-on experience in maintenance, equipment repair, or facilities management.\n Skills:Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems and equipment.\nProficiency with hand and power tools, diagnostic equipment, and machinery.\nStrong troubleshooting skills with the ability to quickly identify and resolve issues.\nFamiliarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) for tracking work orders and maintenance logs.\nAbility to read and interpret blueprints, electrical diagrams, and technical manuals.\nBasic knowledge of safety and environmental regulations related to facility maintenance.\n\nPreferred Qualifications (but not required):\nEducation: Associate’s degree in Industrial Maintenance, Plumbing, Electrical, HVAC, or related field.\nExperience: More than 2 years of experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or commercial setting.\nSkills:In-depth knowledge of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing systems, and facility equipment.\nProficiency with sewing machines, auto cutter/spreaders, paint systems, welders, or machining equipment.\nCertification of safety or environmental regulations related to facility maintenance.\n\nPhysical Requirements:\nAbility to lift up to 50 pounds and carry equipment/tools.\nAbility to work in confined spaces, climb ladders, and perform tasks at various heights.\nComfortable working in different environmental conditions, including varying temperatures and noise levels.\nWillingness to work flexible hours, including overtime or on-call shifts as needed for emergency repairs.\nWork Environment:\n2nd Shift - 1:30-11:30p - 4-day work week\nWork in an industrial, manufacturing, or commercial facility.\nPotential exposure to hazardous materials, chemicals, and noisy environments.\nSafety gear (PPE) is required in certain areas of the facility.\nWhat We Offer\nAt Rite-Hite, we take care of our people - because when you’re supported, you can do your best work.
