Here, you’ll find innovation, stability, and the chance to grow your career as part of a team that’s always looking ahead.\nPURPOSE AND SCOPE\nThe Maintenance Technician is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and optimization of all industrial electrical systems and automated machinery to ensure continuous, efficient, and safe operation. This role requires a strong electrical troubleshooting background to diagnose and resolve complex issues and perform preventative maintenance.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.\n Troubleshooting and Repair:Systematically diagnose and repair electrical malfunctions in equipment, controls, and components using advanced troubleshooting skills.\nWork with a range of electrical systems, including 480V 3-phase and lower voltages, motor controls, drives (AC/DC), and servo systems.\nExecute online troubleshooting of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and other industrial automation.\n\nPreventative and Corrective Maintenance:Perform scheduled preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment to minimize downtime and extend asset life.\nInspect and test electrical systems and components, such as wiring, fuses, switches, and relays, to identify potential issues.\n\n Technical Interpretation and Compliance:Read and interpret complex electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to perform required maintenance.\nEnsure all electrical work and installations comply with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and other relevant safety and regulatory standards.\n\nInstallation and System Support:Install, support, and integrate new electrical equipment and system upgrades.\nParticipate in facility and equipment upgrade projects.\n\n Collaboration and Documentation:Collaborate with engineering, production, and other maintenance team members to address complex issues and identify root causes of failures.\nMaintain accurate and detailed records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used, typically within a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).\nAssist with training other maintenance personnel on electrical systems.\n\n Safety and Standards:Adhere strictly to all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).\nUphold high standards of safety and cleanliness in all work areas. \n\nQUALIFICATIONS\nHigh school diploma or GED equivalent required; Associate degree or technical certification in Electrical Technology, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field is preferred.\nMinimum of 5years of experience as an industrial electrician or maintenance technician, with a strong emphasis on electrical systems.\nProven ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical control systems, PLCs, and VFDs.\nProficiency in using electrical testing instruments such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and meggers.\nExperience with hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems is a plus.\nAbility to read and understand technical manuals, electrical schematics, and blueprints.\nStrong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to make quick, effective decisions under pressure.\nEffective communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively within a team.\nWillingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, or overtime as needed. \nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT\nAbility to work in a variety of environmental conditions, including extreme heat, cold, and noise.\nMust be able to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.\nRequires standing, walking, kneeling, climbing, and lifting for extended periods.\nMay require working in high and confined spaces.\nAdditional Job Information:\nn/a\nWhat We Offer\nAt Rite-Hite, we take care of our people - because when you’re supported, you can do your best work.
