Here, you’ll find innovation, stability, and the chance to grow your career as part of a team that’s always looking ahead.\nJob Title: Press Brake Operator\nCorporation: Rite-Hite\nDepartment: Operations\nReports To: Production Support Supervisor\nFLSA Status: Non-Exempt\nLocation: Clare, MI\nPurpose\nSet up, program, and operate CNC Press Brake machines to produce high-quality parts according to engineering and customer specifications.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nSet up and operate CNC Press Brake machines in compliance with safety guidelines.\nProgram CNC controls using information provided on prints.\nOperate forklifts, overhead cranes, and hoists.\nVerify that materials are correct in type and dimension before bending.\nCalculate blank sizes, bend locations, appropriate tonnage, and tooling for each part.\nUtilize work orders and QC packets to complete jobs accurately.\nDetect and correct equipment malfunctions or out-of-tolerance components; report issues to maintenance/management.\nRead, interpret, and apply information from blueprints.\nVerify machine settings and tolerances to ensure precision and quality.\nPerform quality checks before sending parts to the next operation.\nUse measurement tools (tape measure, caliper, micrometer) to verify work.\nMaintain the press dies and punches, keeping them free of debris and damage.\nCollaborate with engineers, production staff, or supervisors to resolve issues.\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives in products and processes.\nMaintain a clean and safe work environment.\nQualifications\nEducation/Experience:Associate’s degree in a technical field or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school preferred.\nMinimum of 6 months to 1 year of related manufacturing or CNC Press Brake experience required.\nEquivalent combination of education and experience considered.\n\nSkills & Abilities:Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints.\nStrong mathematical skills, including fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions.\nAbility to solve practical problems and work with varying procedures and instructions.\nSkilled in the use of standard measurement tools.\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.\nForklift certification or willingness to obtain one preferred.\n\nPhysical Demands\nRegularly required to stand, walk, use hands to handle materials, reach with arms, and communicate effectively.\nFrequently required to sit; occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.\nMust regularly lift and/or move up to 25 lbs; occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.\nSpecific vision abilities include close vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.\nWork Environment\nRegular exposure to moving mechanical parts and loud noise.\nFrequent exposure to vibration, fumes, or airborne particles.\nOccasional exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme temperatures, and outdoor weather.\nWhat We Offer\nAt Rite-Hite, we take care of our people - because when you’re supported, you can do your best work.
