In this role, you will lead and support a team responsible for producing high-quality products in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You'll oversee daily production operations, coordinate staffing and materials, drive safety and quality initiatives, and help ensure production goals are met efficiently. This is a great opportunity for a hands-on leader who enjoys developing teams, solving problems, and making a direct impact on operational success.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.\nResponsible for planning, directing, and coordinating the operations of production and materials.\n\nCoordinate labor availability and materials supply.\n\nSupervises the daily activities of operations unit.\n\nMotivates staff and deals effectively with performance and/or production issues.\n\nMust be able to read and interpret parts prints, assembly prints and tooling prints.\n\nImplements operational procedures.\n\nMust be familiar with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.\n\nPlan and meet production. Continually monitor methods and output.\n\nMeet daily production needs by coordinating materials and resources.\n\nMaintain efficiency through effective personnel management.\n\nEvaluates individual performance and makes appropriate recommendations.\n\nReview the progress of work by answering questions, evaluating decisions, and resolving problems.\n\nUnderstands and supports safe production practices and good housekeeping.\n\nEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE \nBachelor’s degree from four-year college or university; or 3-5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.\n\nFull understanding of product assembly.\n\nAbility to work all areas at subordinate level.\n\nKNOWLEDGE / SKILL REQUIREMENTS:\nLANGUAGE SKILLS \nAbility to respond to common inquiries. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization. \nMATHEMATICAL SKILLS \nAbility to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis. \nREASONING ABILITY \nAbility to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS \nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle or feel; talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.\nWORK ENVIRONMENT \nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
