Here, you’ll find innovation, stability, and the chance to grow your career as part of a team that’s always looking ahead.\nCORE RESPONSIBILITIES\nPlatform Engineering and Automation\nDesign, build, and maintain scalable CI/CD pipelines that support automated build, test, and deployment workflows using GitLab CI/CD and standardized Git workflows.\nDevelop and maintain reusable pipeline templates, infrastructure modules, and automation patterns that enable consistent and efficient delivery across teams.\nContinuously improve deployment speed, reliability, and quality through automation and tooling enhancements.\nCloud Infrastructure and Kubernetes Operations\nDesign, provision, and manage cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), with a primary focus on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).\nDeploy, operate, and maintain Kubernetes clusters, particularly Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), ensuring high availability, scalability, and resilience.\nPackage and manage Kubernetes applications using Helm charts and established deployment standards.\nCollaborate with engineering teams to support cloud-native application architectures and runtime requirements.\nReliability, Monitoring, and Incident Response\nImplement and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to ensure system performance, availability, and operational visibility (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Cloud Logging, Cloud Monitoring).\nParticipate in incident response, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis to restore service and prevent recurrence.\nContribute to fault-tolerant and resilient system designs that support production reliability and operational excellence.\nSecurity and Compliance Enablement\nApply secure-by-design principles across CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure, and Kubernetes environments, including secrets management, access controls, and least-privilege IAM.\nCollaborate with security and platform stakeholders to integrate vulnerability scanning, configuration hardening, and compliance requirements into delivery workflows.\nSupport organizational security, audit, and compliance initiatives by ensuring infrastructure and deployment processes are auditable, repeatable, and well-documented.\nCollaboration and Documentation\nWork closely with software engineers, QA, and platform stakeholders to understand delivery needs and remove friction from the development lifecycle.\nDocument infrastructure designs, deployment patterns, operational procedures, and architectural decisions to support knowledge sharing and long-term maintainability.\nPromote DevOps best practices, automation-first thinking, and continuous improvement across engineering teams.\nSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES\nThis role does not have direct reports but is expected to provide technical leadership, guidance, and enablement across multiple engineering teams.\nQUALIFICATIONS\nEducation & Experience\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field required; equivalent practical experience will be considered.\n5+ years of experience in DevOps, platform engineering, or cloud infrastructure roles supporting production systems.\nExperience operating cloud-native environments and supporting modern software delivery pipelines.\nKnowledge / Skill Requirements\nHands-on experience with Kubernetes, preferably Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).\nStrong proficiency with Linux system administration and troubleshooting.\nExperience managing infrastructure using Terraform or similar Infrastructure as Code tools.\nExperience packaging and deploying applications using Helm.\nStrong experience with GitLab, including CI/CD pipelines and Git-based workflows.\nFamiliarity with cloud platforms, with preference for Google Cloud Platform (GCP).\nProficiency in at least one programming or scripting language such as Python or Go; experience with Node.js is a plus.\nSolid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, routing).\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Cloud Logging, and Cloud Monitoring.\nFamiliarity with distributed tracing tools such as Google Cloud Trace.\nExperience supporting security, compliance, or regulated environments.\nPrior experience working in agile or product-driven development environments.\nRelevant cloud or Kubernetes certifications (e.g., Google Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer, CKA) are a plus.\nWHY JOIN RITE-HITE DIGITAL SOLUTIONS?\nAt Rite-Hite, you’ll be part of a technology-driven organization that is transforming how industrial safety, productivity, and service solutions are delivered worldwide.
