Here, you’ll find innovation, stability, and the chance to grow your career as part of a team that’s always looking ahead.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nIntegration and Platform Engineering\nContribute to enterprise-scale integration capabilities, including REST APIs, webhooks, and event-driven data flows that enable automation.\nBuild and maintain services that ingest, transform, position, and expose data, optimizing retrieval for consumer purpose and access patterns. Design and own the data models that underpin these services.\nHelp design and transform the platform toward an agent-first digital ecosystem, enabling seamless interaction with internal and third-party agentic services.\nHands-On Development\nWrite production-quality code on an active delivery cadence, contributing directly to shared team deliverables.\nWrite and maintain unit, integration, and contract tests as a standard part of delivery.\nParticipate actively in code reviews, technical discussions, and design sessions through thoughtful input and a collaborative mindset.\nProactively explore new technologies, patterns, and approaches relevant to the team’s mission.\nContribute to customer-facing and internal interfaces as needed, delivering across the full stack when the team requires it.\nEvaluate existing applications for scalability and maintainability. Communicate clear short-term and long-term options, including when to stabilize, when to invest, and the tradeoffs of each.\nSustain and support legacy solutions, keeping them stable and secure while contributing to the platform’s forward direction.\nReliability and Operability\nBuild services with observability, error handling, and resiliency as core design considerations.\nSupport troubleshooting of production integration issues, drive root cause analysis, and implement durable fixes.\nSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES\nIndividual contributor role focused on hands-on development and shared team deliverables.\nRequired Qualifications\n7+ years of hands-on software engineering experience delivering production systems.\nDeep, practical experience with event-driven architectures, including messaging systems, publish/subscribe patterns, asynchronous workflows, and event sourcing concepts.\nProven experience designing and operating enterprise-scale integrations, including REST APIs, webhooks, data pipelines, and third-party service connectivity.\nDemonstrated ability to work and deliver independently, take initiative, proactively explore unknowns, and operate without constant direction.\nSolid foundation in security fundamentals applied to APIs, data access, secrets management, and integrations.\nProficiency in Node.js and TypeScript for backend service development, with the ability to contribute to customer-facing and internal web interfaces using React.\nActive use of AI-assisted engineering tools, such as Copilot, Cursor, or equivalent, in daily development, with demonstrated judgment around validation, security, and code quality.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with cloud-native platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and distributed system design.\nFamiliarity with Docker and Kubernetes for containerized service deployment.\nExposure to data analytics platforms and/or streaming systems, such as Pub/Sub, Kafka, BigQuery, or equivalent.\nExperience contributing to teams working through modernization or platform-building initiatives.\nFamiliarity with API gateway tooling, such as Apigee, Kong, AWS API Gateway, Tyk, or equivalent, for managing and securing API traffic at scale.\nFamiliarity with enterprise integration patterns, including Saga, CQRS, the outbox pattern, and idempotency design, and when to apply them.\nWhat We Offer\nAt Rite-Hite, we take care of our people - because when you’re supported, you can do your best work.
