They identify risks, recommend improvements, and provide training to promote a safe and sustainable work environment.\nWhy Work at Rittal:\nCompensation: starting at $90,000\n\nAbove average benefits are available on the 1st of the month after you start.\n\n401K Match\n\nGreat Place to Work Certified Company\n\nSmall Team Environment with Purpose Driven Work\n\nProfessional Development Opportunities\n\nKey Responsibilities:\nRegulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal environmental, health, and safety regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA).\n\nMaintain permits, reports, and records related to safety and environmental compliance.\n\nRisk Assessment and Mitigation:\nConduct workplace safety inspections and risk assessments.\n\nIdentify hazards and implement corrective actions to reduce risks.\n\nInvestigate accidents, near misses, and environmental incidents to determine root causes and implement preventive measures.\n\nLead initiatives to modify or retrofit equipment to comply with safety standards and improve usability.\n\nCollaborate with Manufacturing and Industrial Engineers to design inherently safer systems during current equipment reviews, new equipment design, or layout changes.\n\nProgram Development:\nDevelop and enforce EHS policies, procedures, and programs tailored to the organization’s needs.\n\nMonitor workplace practices to ensure compliance with EHS policies.\n\nTraining and Awareness:\nProvide EHS training for employees and management on safety protocols, emergency response, and regulatory requirements as needed.\n\nFoster a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.\n\nSustainability and Environmental Management:\nManage waste disposal, pollution control, and environmental impact reduction initiatives.\n\nAssist in conducting environmental risk assessments and audits.\n\nData Management and Reporting:\nCollect and analyze EHS performance data.\n\nPrepare and present reports on safety metrics, environmental compliance, and risk mitigation efforts.\n\nQualifications:\nBachelor's degree in Environmental, Health, and Safety Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical field experience.\n\nOSHA 30 Hour Certification\n\n3+ Years of experience in Environmental Sustainability\n\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills\n\nStrong problem solving and analytical skills\n\nExperience with risk assessments, incident investigations, and OSHA/ANSI/NIOSH regulatory compliance\n\nIf you require reasonable accommodation for any part of the application or hiring process due to a disability, you may contact the company’s Human Resources Department at (937) 399-0500.\nThis option is reserved for individuals who require accommodation due to a disability.\nRittal LLC and Eplan are proud to be an affirmative action/equal opportunity employer.
