In this role, you will be responsible for designing and executing comprehensive test strategies and automation solutions that ensure the quality, security, and performance of mission-critical software within a modern DevSecOps environment.\nThe ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience building Java and Selenium automation frameworks from scratch and integrating testing into CI/CD pipelines. Experience with security, performance, and compliance testing is a plus. This individual will work closely with developers, product owners, security teams, and other stakeholders to define test requirements, implement best practices, and drive continuous improvement throughout the software development lifecycle.\nCORE RESPONSIBILITIES\nDevelop and maintain comprehensive test plans, strategies, and cases tailored to the P-TACTS DevSecOps environment.\nDesign, build, and maintain a Java-based Selenium automation framework using Page Object Model, TestNG, and Cucumber, including parallel execution, reusable utilities, and centralized exception handling.\nIntegrate automated smoke and regression suites into CI/CD pipelines, with automated report generation at each run.\nSupport security testing, including static and dynamic code analysis, vulnerability scanning, and compliance validation.\nSupport performance, load, and stress testing to verify that applications meet scalability and reliability requirements.\nSupport the use of monitoring and analytics tools to evaluate system performance metrics and identify optimization opportunities.\nSet up, manage, and maintain test environments to mirror production conditions and ensure test accuracy.\nCollaborate with development, security, and operations teams to integrate testing practices throughout the SDLC.\nProduce test reports that non-technical stakeholders can read, including status, failure detail, logs, and screenshots. Track and manage defects, and coordinate resolution with engineering teams.\nExtend and enhance API testing frameworks and scripts while also participating in manual testing of user interfaces and customer-facing features.\nCreate and maintain documentation of test processes and quality metrics.\nParticipate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, to ensure test coverage and workload balance.\nMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution, and 10 years of related experience (8 years with a master’s degree).\nStrong Java programming skills, including object-oriented design, the Collections Framework, exception handling, and Java 8 or later features such as streams and lambdas.\nDemonstrated experience building Java-based test automation frameworks from scratch and maintaining them over time.\nHands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver (Selenium 4 preferred), including explicit and fluent waits, dynamic and stale element handling, multiple windows, alerts, file uploads, and JavascriptExecutor.\nExperience with TestNG, including parallel execution, listeners, and test reporting.\nHands-on experience implementing BDD (Behavior Driven Development) using Cucumber and Gherkin.\nHands-on experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.\nExperience automating REST API tests in Java using TestNG. Postman experience is a plus.\nExperience with Rally for work and defect tracking and GitLab for source control and CI/CD, the tools used on this program, is preferred. Experience with comparable tools, such as Jira, GitHub, or Jenkins, is acceptable.\nProven experience as a Quality Assurance Engineer or Test Engineer in an Agile environment.\nHands-on experience testing web-based applications (both front-end UI and back-end services).\nExperience working on large-scale enterprise applications.\nAWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, at minimum. A higher-level AWS certification (Associate, Professional, or Specialty) also meets this requirement.\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS\nExperience with security testing tools and methods, including static and dynamic code analysis, vulnerability scanning, and compliance validation.\nExperience with performance and load testing tools and methodologies.\nExperience running Selenium tests at scale using Selenium Grid or cloud-based browser services.\nFamiliarity with AWS services for testing, monitoring, and environment automation.\nThe salary or salary range for this role reflects an estimated range informed by multiple compensation factors.
