The total potential On Target Earning (\"OTE\") compensation range (i.e., base salary plus commissions at 100% attainment of quota achievement) for this position is $245,000 to $260,000. An individual's particular OTE compensation will be determined by the Company, in its sole discretion, in light of the individual's geographical location, education, training, and/or experience.\nRiverbed is seeking a highly technical, customer-facing Solutions Engineer to support U.S. Army accounts. This individual will partner closely with Major Account Executives to develop technical account strategies, demonstrate the value of Riverbed's solutions, and help Army customers address complex challenges across their digital environments.\nThe ideal candidate brings experience supporting U.S. Army, Department of Defense (DoD), or other federal government customers, coupled with a strong technical background in observability, Digital Employee Experience (DEX), and Network Performance Monitoring (NPM).\nAs a trusted technical advisor throughout the sales cycle, this individual will translate customer mission and IT requirements into solutions that enhance visibility, performance, digital employee experience, and operational outcomes across complex, distributed environments.\nWhat you will do\nServe as a trusted technical advisor and subject matter expert to U.S. Army customers throughout the sales cycle.\nPartner with Account Executives to develop and execute technical account strategies that expand Riverbed's presence across strategic Army accounts.\nLead technical discovery, solution presentations, demonstrations, workshops, architecture discussions, and proof-of-concept evaluations.\nTranslate Army mission, operational, and technical requirements into value-based observability solutions that improve performance, visibility, and user experience.\nPosition Riverbed's Digital Employee Experience (DEX) and Network Performance Monitoring (NPM)capabilities within complex DoD environments.\nGuide customers through technical evaluations, address technical objections, and advance opportunities toward technical validation and successful business outcomes.\nIdentify emerging use cases, key stakeholders, and opportunities to expand Riverbed's technical footprint within strategic Army accounts.\nWhat makes you an ideal candidate\nActive Top Secret security clearance.\nMultiple years of experience supporting U.S. Army, DoD, or federal government customers in a technical, engineering, consulting, or presales capacity.\nExperience as a Solutions Engineer, Sales Engineer, Systems Engineer, Solutions Architect, or similar customer-facing technical professional.\nStrong technical expertise in observability, particularly Digital Employee Experience (DEX) and/or Network Performance Monitoring (NPM).\nFamiliarity with related technologies such as endpoint analytics, network visibility, packet and flow analytics, infrastructure monitoring, AIOps, Application Performance Monitoring (APM), or cloud observability.\nProven ability to lead technical discovery, demonstrations, presentations, workshops, and proof-of-concept or proof-of-value evaluations (POCs/POVs) with technical and executive audiences.\nStrong communication and consultative selling skills, with the ability to translate complex technical requirements into mission, operational, and business value.\nWhat we offer\nOur employee benefits including flexible workplace policies, employee resource groups, learning and development resources, career progression pathways, and community engagement initiatives are some of the reasons why we have had great success in bringing in new talent.
