We're seeking a motivated intern to join our team and contribute to ongoing research in computational electromagnetics. While a specific project will be defined based on your interests and our current priorities, you'll have the opportunity to work alongside experienced researchers, gain hands-on experience with simulation tools, and explore cutting-edge topics in electromagnetics. This internship position is for the summer 2027.\nResponsibilities\nAssist in developing, testing, or optimizing tools that solve Maxwell's equations\nContribute to code development, data analysis, and/or visualization\nParticipate in group meetings and present findings or progres\nQualifications\nRequired\nStudents entering at least their junior year in Fall 2027 in an undergraduate program in Physics, Astronomy, Computer Science,Applied Mathematics or related field\n1-2 years of experience with scripting (python)\n1-2 years of experience with C, C++ or Fortran\n1-2 years of familiarity with using the Linux command line\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills\nExcellent written and verbal communication\nMust be a US citizen\nDesired\nFamiliarity with electromagnetics fundamentals (Maxwell's equations, boundary conditions, etc.)\n1-2 years of experience with Windows code development\nExperience with version control (git)\nExperience with MPI and OpenMP\nGlobal Comp\n20.00 - 30.00 This represents the typical compensation range for this position based on experience, location and other factors.Closing Statement\n Riverside Research Institute is a not-for-profit, technology-oriented defense company, where service to our customers and support of our staff is our overall mission.
