This goes for the emissions-free Electric Adventure Vehicles we build, and the curious, courageous souls we seek to attract.\nAs a company, we constantly challenge what’s possible, never simply accepting what has always been done. We reframe old problems, seek new solutions and operate comfortably in areas that are unknown. Our backgrounds are diverse, but our team shares a love of the outdoors and a desire to protect it for future generations.\nRole Summary\nRivian is seeking a Business Operations Lead to serve as the intelligence layer between the Customer Analytics and Sales & Delivery leadership. This role owns the source of truth for all performance KPIs reported by Sales & Delivery - ensuring the data is clean, consistent, and presented in a way that provides actionable insight and drives decision-making.\nThis is not an analyst role. It is designed for someone who can move fluently between data and narrative, assess performance across site, regional, and portfolio levels simultaneously, and connect macro business trends to the micro-level patterns playing out across individual teams and locations. Success in this role requires strong analytical judgment, a sharp editorial instinct, and the ability to tell a clear story with data to an executive audience.\nResponsibilities\nMaintain the source of truth for all Sales & Delivery performance KPIs - defining metrics, governing definitions, and ensuring consistency across dashboards, reports, and leadership communications\nServe as the primary liaison to the Customer Analytics organization, translating operational and executive needs into dashboard and reporting requirements and ensuring outputs are clean, accessible, and decision-ready\nIdentify performance trends across site, regional, and portfolio levels - connecting macro dynamics to micro-level patterns and surfacing insights before they become compounding problems\nTranslate performance data into clear, actionable recommendations for Sales & Delivery leadership, with diagnosis, root cause, and a suggested path forward\nOwn the analytical narrative in executive presentations, briefs, WBRs, QBRs, and leadership reviews - not just the charts, but the story they tell and the decisions they should drive\nMonitor data integrity across all reporting surfaces, identifying inconsistencies, flagging gaps, and driving resolution with the Customer Analytics team to maintain a single version of the truth\nBuild and maintain performance visibility frameworks that give site leaders, regional leaders, and executives the right level of insight for their scope of accountability\nPartner with Analytics, Finance, Sales Operations, and Field Leadership to align on KPI definitions, ensure consistent application across the organization, and evolve the metrics framework as the business scales\nQualifications\n6+ years in retail analytics, sales analytics, commercial performance insights, or a similarly data-intensive commercial role\nExperience in automotive, retail, or other consumer-facing commercial operations preferred\nExperience owning KPI frameworks and governing metric definitions across complex, multi-stakeholder organizations\nDemonstrated ability to assess performance at site, regional, and portfolio levels - and connect macro trends to micro-level outcomes across a distributed organization\nFluency in data visualization tools such as Tableau, Hex, or similar, with experience shaping dashboard design and working directly with analytics or data engineering teams\nFamiliarity with Salesforce or similar CRM operations and analytics tooling preferred\nProven ability to translate business questions into analytical requirements and analytical findings back into business language\nStrong narrative instincts: you don't just surface data, you build the story behind it clearly enough that executives can act on it\nExceptional written communication and presentation skills - you build executive-ready materials that are clear, well-structured, and decision-oriented\nPay Disclosure\nThe salary range for this role is $112,100-140,100 for California based applicants and $102,300-127,900 for Georgia based applicants.\nThis is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, shift, and organizational needs.\nThe successful candidate may be eligible for annual performance bonus and equity awards.\nWe offer a comprehensive package of benefits for full-time and part-time employees, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26, including but not limited to paid vacation, paid sick leave, and a competitive portfolio of insurance benefits including life, medical, dental, vision, short-term disability insurance, and long-term disability insurance to eligible employees. You may also have the opportunity to participate in Rivian’s 401(k) Plan and Employee Stock Purchase Plan if you meet certain eligibility requirements. Full-time employee coverage is effective on their first day of employment. Part-time employee coverage is effective the first of the month following 90 days of employment. More information about benefits is available at rivianbenefits.com.\nEqual Opportunity\nRivian is an equal opportunity employer and complies with all applicable federal, state, and local fair employment practices laws. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, ancestry, sex, sexual orientation, gender, gender expression, gender identity, genetic information or characteristics, physical or mental disability, marital/domestic partner status, age, military/veteran status, medical condition, or any other characteristic protected by law.\nRivian is committed to ensuring that our hiring process is accessible for persons with disabilities. If you have a disability or limitation, such as those covered by the Americans with Disabilities Act, that requires accommodations to assist you in the search and application process, please email us at .\nCandidate Data Privacy and Technology\nRivian may collect, use and disclose your personal information or personal data (within the meaning of the applicable data protection laws) when you apply for employment and/or participate in our recruitment processes (“Candidate Personal Data”). We use AI to support efficiency and consistency, not to replace human judgment. We are committed to a fair, thoughtful, and equitable experience for every candidate.\nParticipation in AI profile matching is entirely voluntary. If you prefer that your profile not be used in this process, you can opt out at any time.
