Alongside product, design, and integration teams.\n\nConstructively challenge requirements, designs, implementation approaches, and release decisions.\n\nClearly communicate concerns, recommend alternatives, and push back when correctness, quality, or maintainability would be compromised.\n\nWrite test code to drive quality, robustness, and functional correctness.\n\nBuild regression coverage and diagnose failures across unit, integration, and Android UI tests.\n\nIdentify potential problems and resolve application bottlenecks for performance optimizations.\n\nGrow your skills with continual learning, workshops, conferences, and talks.\n\nUse modern AI tools to support investigation, implementation, testing, and code review, while independently validating their output and maintaining responsibility for their correctness and quality.\n\nQualifications\nMinimum Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent practical experience.\n\n5+ years experience in Android application development.\n\nProficiency in Java and Kotlin; Exposure to Python and/or other scripting languages is a plus.\n\nAbility to manage your workload with minimal supervision.\n\nExperience building Android apps using core Android APIs; familiarity with Jetpack components preferred.\n\nKnowledge of Android lifecycle, reactive and asynchronous programming patterns, dependency injection, persistence, and testable architecture.\n\nDemonstrated ability to navigate technical disagreements, explain tradeoffs with evidence, and influence decisions across disciplines.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nKnowledge of Android’s performance and testing frameworks.\n\nJetpack Compose and interoperability with existing Views.\n\nPrior experience in developing on-vehicle technology.\n\nUnit and integration testing, Espresso, Compose Testing, Roborazzi, reusable fixtures and test abstractions, functional/end-to-end testing with Maestro or Trailblaze is an additional plus.\n\nExperience with building reusable application frameworks, SDKs, shared libraries, migrating applications and libraries between architectures, or services while preserving behaviour and compatibility.\n\nAndroid build tooling, CI, test automation, and practical use of modern AI development tools with verification of their output.\n\nTotal Rewards\nWe build the exceptional - and we believe the people doing that work should be rewarded accordingly.
