Our exclusive building methodologies, accredited safety standards and professional execution allow us to turn our customers’ greatest concepts into reality.\nPosition Summary\nResponsible for the end-to-end coordination of shipping and receiving, shop floor inventory management, material handling team, and the strategic staging of materials to support uninterrupted production. The Logistics Manager will serve as a key driver in developing departmental capabilities to scale with business growth and advancing logistics operations by evaluating current-state operations against best-in-class benchmarks.\nRole Responsibilities\nTeam Members:\nBuild a high-performing logistics organization capable of scaling with our growth trajectory.\nDefine department structure, roles, and career development pathways to attract and retain top talent.\nDevelop training programs and standard operating procedures (SOPs) that create consistent, repeatable performance across all logistics functions.\nEstablish succession planning and cross-training initiatives to ensure operational continuity.\nShipping & Receiving:\nOversee all inbound and outbound freight operations, ensuring accurate and timely receipt and documentation of materials and finished goods.\nManage carrier relationships, freight contracts and cost, and compliance with shipping regulations.\nImplement and maintain robust receiving processes to minimize discrepancies.\nMonitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for on-time delivery, damage rates, and freight costs.\nShop Floor Inventory:\nMaintain accurate, real-time inventory records across all shop floor locations, including raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods staging areas.\nDesign and enforce inventory control procedures to minimize shrinkage, overstock, and material shortages.\nPartner with production planning and scheduling teams to align inventory availability with production demand.\nLead cycle count programs and periodic physical inventories; develop corrective action plans to address discrepancies.\nMaterial Handling Operations:\nDirectly supervise and develop material handler teams, providing clear direction, coaching, and performance management.\nEstablish standardized work procedures for safe and efficient material movement throughout the facility.\nEnsure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety standards for all material handling equipment and personnel.\nEvaluate and optimize the utilization of forklifts, pallet jacks, conveyors, and other material handling equipment.\nProduction Material Staging:\nDevelop and implement kitting and staging strategies to replenish the right materials to the right place at the right time in support of shop floor production schedules.\nCollaborate closely with production supervisors and scheduling to anticipate material needs and prevent line stoppages.\nDesign staging areas and supermarkets aligned with lean manufacturing principles, including 5S standards.\nContinuously refine staging workflows to reduce travel time, handling steps, and non-value-added activity.\nDepartment Development & Scalability:\nDefine department structure, roles, and career development pathways to attract and retain top talent.\nDevelop training programs and standard operating procedures (SOPs) that create consistent, repeatable performance across all logistics functions.\nEstablish succession planning and cross-training initiatives to ensure operational continuity.\nAdvance Logistics Operations:\nBenchmark departmental performance against best-in-class industry-recognized frameworks and identify capability gaps (i.e., Lean Mfg. and supply chain benchmark assessments).\nDevelop and execute roadmaps to advance department maturity, from reactive operations to proactive, data-driven logistics excellence.\nChampion the adoption of logistics technologies and systems (WMS, ERP, barcode/RFID) to enhance visibility and efficiency.\nDrive a culture of continuous improvement through Lean Mfg., and structured problem-solving tools and techniques.\nQualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business, or equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.\n5+ years of progressive logistics, warehousing, or manufacturing operations experience, including 2+ years in a management role.\nDemonstrated experience managing shipping/receiving, inventory control, and material handling teams in a manufacturing environment.\nProficiency with ERP and/or Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).\nStrong working knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and material flow concepts.\nExcellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.\nProven ability to analyze operational data and translate insights into actionable improvements.\nKnowledgeable with Microsoft Suite\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience in mission-critical, data center, electrical, or custom fabrication manufacturing environments.\nAPICS CPIM, CSCP, or equivalent supply chain certification.\nLean Manufacturing experience.\nExperience conducting logistics maturity assessments and implementing best-in-class operational frameworks.\nCompetencies for Success:\nStrategic Thinking - Translates organizational goals into logistics strategies that support business scalability.\nLeadership - Inspires, develops, and holds teams accountable while fostering an inclusive and high-performance culture.\nOperational Excellence - Relentlessly pursues process improvement and waste elimination.\nAnalytical Acumen - Uses data to drive decisions and measure progress against defined goals.\nAdaptability - Thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced manufacturing environment and effectively manages priorities.\nCollaborative Partnership - Builds strong working relationships with production, procurement, engineering, and other cross-functional departments.\nKnowledgeable in using Microsoft Suite.\nMinimum Physical Requirements and Accountability\nThe Logistics Manager will regularly work on the shop floor and in warehouse areas and must be able to meet the physical demands of such an environment, including standing, walking, and occasional lifting.
