Our exclusive building methodologies, accredited safety standards and professional execution allow us to turn our customers’ greatest concepts into reality.\nPosition Summary\nThe Material Handler Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations associated with material handling operations. This includes related activities for receiving material availability and staging material to production lines to ensure material flows efficiently and accurately throughout the production process. This role provides direction, training and performance feedback to the Material Handler team, supports Lean Manufacturing initiatives, and collaborates closely with Production, Supply Chain, Quality and Logistics to maintain on-time delivery and Production Efficiency.\nRole Responsibilities\nSupervise all Material handlers across multi production lines, ensuring adherence to Standard Work Instructions (SWIs) and safety protocols.\nAssign daily work task based on production priorities, project schedules, and manpower availability.\nTrain, coach, and mentor team members on receiving material staging full and accurate kits by production stations, and documentation of best practices.\nMonitor team performance, provide feedback, and participate in performance evaluations.\nServe as the primary liaison between Production, Supply Chain, Quality, and Inventory regarding inventory-related issues.\nCoordinate tracking and transportation of materials between Mission Critical facilities\nCollaborate with Logistics to set up transportation of materials and finished goods\nPlan and maintain supermarket zones per production station requirements, and ensure materials are staged efficiently and organized using 5S principles.\nLead the setup of supermarket areas (taping, labeling, shelving) to support process flow and visibility.\nEnsure all BOM (Bill of Materials) items are kitted accurately, labeled properly, and delivered to the correct production area.\nIdentify opportunities to improve material handling efficiency, layout, and accuracy through Lean and 5S initiatives.\nPromote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.\nSupport and enforce all company policies, including ISO 9001, environmental, and safety standards.\nEnsure all team members adhere to RK’s safety programs, PPE requirements, and Stop Work Authority.\nConduct regular safety checks of material handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, hoists, etc.).\nMaintain a clean, organized warehouse and staging area using visual controls and 5S practices.\nQualifications\n3-5 years of material handling, warehouse, or logistics experience required.\n1-2 years of supervisory or team lead experience preferred.\nProficient in ERP/WMS systems, Microsoft Office, and lean manufacturing principles.\nStrong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.\nValid forklift certification and acceptable Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) required.\nMinimum Physical Requirements and Accountability\nWork outside, inside, and in dusty, noisy and hazardous areas.\nAbility to perform repetitive tasks efficiently while maintaining focus on safety and quality in a fast-paced lean environment.\nCapability to handle materials in a manner that supports quick changeovers, kanban’s, and minimal production downtime.\nClimb, balance, squat, kneel and crouch.\nWork in all types of weather.\nMust have working knowledge of all trade materials, production materials, and tools.\nAbility to lift and carry 31 to 45 pounds of force frequently, and/or 16 to 22 pounds of force constantly to move objects.\nComply with all company policies and procedures.\nModel safety leadership; enforce safe work practices and stop unsafe work immediately.\nPromote operational excellence through adherence to standardized work and continuous improvement principles.\nEnsure team compliance with documentation, quality, and performance expectations.\nLead by example in professionalism, communication, and teamwork.\nWhat Sets RK Industries Apart\nSafety: Our unmatched culture of safety is our foremost core value, guiding everything we do each day: Health, Safety, & Environmental\nAwards: Whether in Construction, Manufacturing, Fabrication, or Service, RK Industries is highly recognized and accredited throughout the industry: Accreditations & Recognition\nBenefits: RK Industries offers competitive benefits to support your growth and well-being: Benefits & Rewards\nPhilanthropy: RK Industries not only builds our community through our projects, but also invests in it by supporting local services for over a decade through the RK Foundation: RK Foundation\nDevelopment: Through RK University, we provide hands-on training and development opportunities that empower employees to advance their careers and grow within the company, to include leadership and technical learning opportunities, we well as our accredited apprentice program: RK University & RK Apprenticeship Program\nApplications are accepted on an ongoing basis.\nRK Industries, LLC is an equal opportunity employer.
