Responsible for updating both the forecast and daily schedules to optimize batch flow through the fabrication shop. Work with Project Managers, Shop, and Field personnel, to ensure a high-quality product is produced and delivered on time. Works within established budgets and time guidelines to produce a profit.\nEssential Duties/Responsibilities\nAssist the Production Planning Manager in ensuring that the CAD/FAB process results in a product that meets or exceeds the customer’s requirements.\nAssist the Production Planning Manager with the daily Production Planning of work orders.\nSet up the scheduling of material procurement, processing of material, fabrication and painting of structural & miscellaneous steel.\nAssist in the maintenance of Global Shop Solutions scheduling software database.\nSupervise and coordinate material procurement with purchasing to meet requirements of fabrication sequence plans based on construction schedules and shop requirements.\nInterpret specifications and blueprints as needed for recommended processes, improvements, and potential cost impacts.\nWork from sequencing plans that provide a consolidated work sequence, budgeted hours, and required fabrication and delivery dates.\nManipulate and maintain data in a structural steel design management software program (Tekla PowerFab)\nNest and program plate shapes for the plasma burn table using ATek Steel Solutions.\nCreate cut lists to optimize machine use and efficiency.\nEnsure continuous improvement of the company’s employees through development planning.\nCreate cutting programs for Python X using ATek Steel Solutions.\nGenerate shop information for QC, shop personnel & logistics.\nOrganization and electronic storage of fabrication documents, data and files.\nEnter production sequence into internal scheduling program and develop work orders for fabrication.\nManage and analyze shop productivity tracking, establish shop production rates for review and disposition by shop superintendent.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nAccountability\nComply with all company policies and procedures. \nPrompt, punctual, and regular attendance during core business hours, in an office environment (not a telecommuting position), including a reliable means of transport to and from work. Ability to occasionally travel between corporate offices and jobsites within the Denver Metro Area, during work hours.\nAll employees are accountable for safety and health and are empowered to stop work if an unsafe condition is present.
