In this role, you'll lead the critical closeout phase of mechanical construction by coordinating start-up, commissioning, testing, and final turnover to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest technical standards.\nWorking closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, subcontractors, vendors, and owners' commissioning agents, you'll serve as a technical resource throughout the start-up and commissioning process. You'll troubleshoot challenges, drive accountability, coordinate resources, and keep projects moving through one of their most critical phases.\nWith RK's in-house fabrication, manufacturing, construction, and building services capabilities, you'll have the resources and expertise of an integrated team behind you.\nWhat You'll Lead\nReview and understand project contract documents, plans, specifications, and requirements\nSupport Project Managers with equipment tracking and start-up matrices\nPlan, schedule, and oversee the start-up of mechanical and plumbing equipment\nManage and schedule start-up Foremen and Superintendents\nTroubleshoot and conduct forensic investigations related to construction and commissioning issues\nCollaborate with project teams to maintain project schedules from start-up through closeout\nCoordinate directly with mechanical equipment vendors for vendor-required start-ups\nWork closely with and support the owner's commissioning agent\nProvide technical support to resolve commissioning issues and keep projects moving\nDevelop and maintain manpower projections and schedules for start-up activities\nOversee and document installation verification and pre-functional testing\nCoordinate with temperature controls and test-and-balance subcontractors throughout commissioning\nCoordinate project team activities supporting smoke control testing\nHelp drive projects through final closeout and successful turnover\nWhat You Bring\n7+ years of relevant experience in mechanical construction, commissioning, start-up, or a related technical field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience\nAdvanced knowledge and experience within mechanical construction and project closeout\nAbility to lead and coordinate complex start-up and commissioning activities\nStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills\nAbility to work independently and make decisions related to complex technical issues\nExperience coordinating with Project Managers, Superintendents, subcontractors, vendors, and commissioning agents\nAbility to provide technical direction and support across multiple project teams\nStrong communication and organizational skills\nComfortable serving as a technical liaison with internal teams and external partners\nWhy Build Your Career at RK\nBuild bigger.
