Our proven methods, focus on safety, and commitment to quality help bring our customers’ biggest ideas to life.\n**This position can be 100% remote within the United States, OR onsite at our corporate HQ office in Aurora, CO**\n\nPosition Summary\nWork closely with Preconstruction Team, Project Managers, VDC/BIM, Field and Manufacturing team to determine material and fabrication best practices to execute projects most efficiently. Optimize every project prior to spooling drawings for fabrication. Mentor and train members of the staff on trade-specific means and methods.\n\nRole Responsibilities\nProvide direction and leadership to the department team to achieve high quality, productivity, and safe standards. \nEnsures compliance to production schedules, process quality, efficiency standards, budget, inventory, and data reporting. \nFacilitate improvement through team involvement, training, and education on specific tasks, safety issues, and other company-related functions. \nAdminister corrective action as needed and maintains training matrix. \nAssemble pricing comparisons for optimization and material selection opportunities. \nReview Contract drawings for design intent as well as constructability prior to VDC/BIM Kick-off. \nEvaluate appropriate applications for prefabrication, packaging, and delivery. \nReview shop operations for best practices for shop work flow, materials handling, and productivity tracking tools. \nQuality control reviews and corrections of VDC/BIM Drawings or models; compliance with contract documents. \nQuality Control review of fabrication drawings prior to delivering to shop. \nRegularly walk project sites with the Project Field Managers to document best practices, and field material preferences. \nOther duties as assigned. \nQualifications\nCollege/University graduate preferred with 5 years relevant experience or equivalent combination of skills and experience. \nIndirect supervision. \nKnowledge of project plans, scope, schedule, specs, submittals, budget, verify benefits of revised materials and systems, etc. \nFirm understanding of drafting and design techniques and are able to convey all information in a clear, concise manner. \nAble to makes decisions independently regarding complexities and methods. \nSuperior presentation, time management, and planning abilities. \nAbility to critically think. \nStrong teamwork/relationship management skills.\nWhat Sets RK Industries Apart\nSafety: Our unmatched culture of safety is our foremost core value, guiding everything we do each day: Health, Safety, & Environmental\nAwards: Whether in Construction, Manufacturing, Fabrication, or Service, RK Industries is highly recognized and accredited throughout the industry: Accreditations & Recognition\nBenefits: RK Industries offers competitive benefits to support your growth and well-being: Benefits & Rewards\nPhilanthropy: RK Industries not only builds our community through our projects, but also invests in it by supporting local services for over a decade through the RK Foundation: RK Foundation \nDevelopment: Through RK University, we provide hands-on training and development opportunities that empower employees to advance their careers and grow within the company, to include leadership and technical learning opportunities, we well as our accredited apprentice program: RK University & RK Apprenticeship Program\nApplications are accepted on an ongoing basis.\nRK Industries, LLC is an equal opportunity employer.
