Solve It Before the Field Has To. Build What’s Next.\nThe best VDC Project Managers do more than manage models. They lead coordination, resolve constructability issues, and turn design intent into fabrication-ready information that crews can install with confidence.\nAt RK Industries, you will own VDC delivery across one or more complex construction projects. You will lead multidisciplinary coordination, guide designers and coordinators through clash resolution, and connect preconstruction, project management, fabrication, and field teams from project kickoff through installation.\nYou will work where digital coordination meets real construction. That means understanding how mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and other building systems are routed, supported, fabricated, and installed, not simply how they appear in a model.\nThis is an opportunity to prevent rework, strengthen project execution, and develop the VDC professionals who will lead what’s next.\nWhat You’ll Lead\nOwn the VDC coordination plan for one or more projects, including model setup, coordination milestones, issue tracking, deliverables, and closeout.\n\nLead recurring coordination meetings in Navisworks with VDC staff, project teams, designers, trade partners, and subcontractors.\n\nBuild and manage clash tests and collision sets, assign issues, drive daily resolution, and verify conflicts are closed before fabrication or installation.\n\nReview contract drawings, specifications, submittals, and design changes to identify constructability risks and missing information early.\n\nGenerate, track, and communicate RFIs and design clarifications that affect coordination, fabrication, or field installation.\n\nDirect 3D layout and routing of trade systems with attention to access, clearances, hangers, installation sequence, material use, and field practicality.\n\nPerform quality-control reviews of coordinated models, shop drawings, spool drawings, and fabrication packages before release to manufacturing or the field.\n\nTranslate coordinated models into fabrication-ready and install-ready work packages while maintaining alignment with project scope and schedule.\n\nTrack model and drawing progress, identify schedule or staffing risks, and communicate recovery needs to VDC and project leadership before milestones are missed.\n\nPartner directly with Project Managers, Project Engineers, Superintendents, field leaders, preconstruction, and manufacturing teams to resolve issues through installation.\n\nMentor VDC Coordinators and Designers in trade-specific means and methods, coordination standards, quality control, and project ownership.\n\nImprove VDC processes, modeling standards, material selections, and coordination workflows using lessons learned from the shop and field.\n\nWhat You Bring\n7+ years of relevant BIM/VDC or construction coordination experience, including PM-level ownership of complex projects. An equivalent combination of education, field experience, and technical experience will be considered.\n\nDirect experience working for a mechanical, electrical, plumbing, or specialty-trade contractor. General-contractor or design-firm experience must include substantial trade-coordination and fabrication-to-field responsibility.\n\nAdvanced, recent experience with Navisworks Manage, including model federation, clash-test setup, issue assignment, coordination-meeting leadership, and verified clash closeout.\n\nProficiency in Revit and experience reviewing or directing the development of coordinated trade models.\n\nDemonstrated knowledge of MEP building systems, constructability, system routing, access and clearance requirements, hanger coordination, and installation sequencing.\n\nExperience reviewing coordinated models and fabrication or shop drawings before release to a shop or field team.\n\nA record of owning schedules, deliverables, risks, RFIs, design changes, and coordination outcomes across multiple stakeholders.\n\nExperience leading and mentoring VDC Designers or Coordinators through indirect supervision.\n\nAbility to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, submittals, and contract documents.\n\nStrong communication and judgment, including the ability to challenge impractical designs, facilitate decisions, and escalate risks before they affect fabrication or installation.\n\nAbility to collaborate regularly with Denver-area project, shop, and field teams and visit active jobsites as project needs require.\n\nWhat Will Set You Apart\nMechanical piping, plumbing, HVAC, sheet metal, or electrical trade expertise.\n\nExperience coordinating large, complex, or mission-critical projects.\n\nExperience with Autodesk Construction Cloud, BIM 360, Revit add-ins, fabrication software, or model-based issue-tracking platforms.\n\nExperience producing or reviewing spool drawings, fabrication packages, hanger layouts, or field-installation work packages.\n\nDocumented results such as reduced clashes, avoided rework, improved fabrication readiness, recovered coordination schedules, or successful delivery across multiple projects.\n\nA construction-related degree, trade apprenticeship, BIM/VDC credential, or equivalent field-to-digital career path.\n\nWhat Sets RK Industries Apart \nSafety: Our unmatched culture of safety is our foremost core value, guiding everything we do each day: Health, Safety, & Environmental\n\nAwards: Whether in Construction, Manufacturing, Fabrication, or Service, RK Industries is highly recognized and accredited throughout the industry: Accreditations & Recognition\n\nBenefits: RK Industries offers competitive benefits to support your growth and well-being: Benefits & Rewards\n\nPhilanthropy: RK Industries not only builds our community through our projects, but also invests in it by supporting local services for over a decade through the RK Foundation: RK Foundation\n\nDevelopment: Through RK University, we provide hands-on training and development opportunities that empower employees to advance their careers and grow within the company, to include leadership and technical learning opportunities, we well as our accredited apprentice program: RK University & RK Apprenticeship Program\n\nApplications are accepted on an ongoing basis.\nRK Industries, LLC is an equal opportunity employer.
