This role is essential to maintaining the safety, functionality, and appearance of our facilities. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of hands-on experience in electrical, plumbing, welding (steel), and carpentry trades. The candidate must also be proficient in steel welding for structural and equipment repairs. Company service vehicle(cart) and large tools/equipment (ladders, welder, drills, saws, and cutting torches) provided.\nResponsibilities:\nPerform routine maintenance and repairs across company facilities, including offices, dockwarehouse, and yard areas\nTroubleshoot and repair basic electrical systems (e.g., lighting, circuits, outlets)\nInstall, repair, and maintain plumbing systems (e.g., water lines, fixtures, drains)\nWeld and fabricate steel components and equipment (MIG andStick welding)\nPerform general carpentry work, including framing, drywall, flooring, and cabinetry repairs\nEnsure all work and repairs meet safety and compliance standards\nInspect equipment and facilities regularly and respond to maintenance requests\nMaintain tools and equipment in good working condition\nAssist in emergency repairs and snow/ice removal when necessary\nCollaborate with the operations team to support shop and yard functions\nRequirements\nMinimum 2 years of experience in electrical, plumbing, welding (steel), and carpentry\nStrong (Mig/Stick) welding skills with steel, including fabrication and repair\nFamiliarity with hand and power tools and the ability to read blueprints/schematics\nAbility to work independently and manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision\nBasic knowledge of safety procedures and building codes\nValid driver’s license with reliable transportation\nAbility to bend, lift and stoop without difficulty and work in varying weather conditions\nBenefits: R+L Carriers offers an excellent compensation and comprehensive benefits package that includes Medical/Dental/Vision Insurance, 401(k) Retirement Plan with company matching contributions, Paid Vacation & Holidays, and vacation lodging at our exclusive employee resorts in Daytona Beach, FL, Big Bear Lake, CA, Pigeon Forge, TN, and Ocean Isle Beach, NC.\nAbout Us: R+L Carriers is a family owned, privately held transportation company founded in 1965.
