The Engineering Manager will lead multiple teams across diverse technical domains to optimise workflows, allocate resources, and foster a culture of continuous improvement, so that we can advance our organisational capabilities and support the company's long-term technical vision. In this hybrid role, you will report to Yas Poptani.\nHow You'll Spend Your Time\n\nTranslate organisational engineering strategies into actionable plans and allocate resources across multiple teams to ensure effective, timely execution.\nFacilitate collaboration between engineering teams, product managers, and business stakeholders to drive integrated solution delivery.\nApply in-depth technical expertise across diverse domains to guide teams in building scalable and reliable engineering solutions.\nDiagnose and resolve complex technical challenges, analysing operational data and workflow metrics to remove bottlenecks and improve team performance.\nImplement comprehensive monitoring, alerting, and observability practices to track system health, performance, and reliability across engineering initiatives.\nDrive high-quality delivery through automated testing pipelines, reducing technical debt while mentoring and developing engineering talent across multiple disciplines.\nWhat Kind of Things We're Most Interested in You Having\n\n4+ years' experience leading multiple engineering teams or managing other technical leads (typically 10 to 25 engineers in total), with input into resource allocation and departmental budget planning.\nA broad technical background across multiple engineering domains (software, infrastructure, cloud) with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience. Leadership, architecture, or cloud certifications are advantageous.\nExperience operating in a regulated environment, with a practical understanding of security, governance, risk, and compliance considerations, and a track record of service ownership across more than one team, including reliability, performance, and incident response.\nProven capability to translate functional engineering strategies into operational initiatives, ensuring resource allocation and workflow optimisation within defined business objectives.\nAdvanced proficiency in diagnosing and resolving complex technical challenges, leveraging deep domain expertise and modern DevOps practices to maintain scalable and reliable systems.\nA track record of implementing robust observability, monitoring, and continuous delivery practices, fostering a culture of high-quality and timely solution delivery, along with the ability to operate effectively amidst ambiguity.\nBy enabling flexibility in how we work and prioritizing employee wellness, we empower our team to do and be their best.
