Reporting to the Controller, you will play a key role in supporting day-to-day accounting operations, with a primary focus on accounts payable, expense verification, reconciliations, and financial reporting activities. You'llgain hands-on experience in a dynamic and collaborative environment, contributing to the financial accuracy and operational efficiency of a global consulting organization. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and eager to learn, with a strong commitment to accuracy, accountability, and delivering work on time.\nAs a Junior Accountant,you will:\nReview, code, and process vendor invoices and payments, ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and approval workflows.\nPerform day-to-day accounts payable transactions, including verifying expenses against supporting documentation and ensuring accuratefinancial records.\nPrepare and distribute monthly aged accounts payable reports, identifyingoutstanding balances and following up as required.\nReconcile vendor statements and accounts, investigate discrepancies, and collaborate with vendors, project managers, and internal stakeholders to resolve issues in a timely manner.\nAllocate expenses to the appropriate generalledger accounts and cost centers while maintainingaccuracy and consistency.\nPrepare and process monthly journal entries, accruals, and other accounting adjustments as part of the month-end close process.\nSupport month-end and year-end accounting activities, ensuring deadlines are met and financial information is complete and accurate.\nParticipate in monthly business reviews, team meetings, and continuous improvement initiatives within the Global Support and Accounting teams.\nProvide cross-functional and backup support to other members of the accountingteam as needed.\nAssistwith special projects, process improvements, audits, and other ad hoc assignments as directed by management.\nTo qualify for this role, you must have:\n1+ years of experience in an accounting, accounts payable, or finance support role.\nA diploma, certificate, or equivalent post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.\nA solid understanding of accounts payable processes and basic accounting principles.\nStrong proficiencyin Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; experience with accounting software is required, with Sage and/or Microsoft Dynamics experience considered an asset.\nExcellent attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to maintainreliable financial records and process transactions efficiently.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with both internal and external stakeholders.\nYou will thrive in this role if you bring:\nA strong work ethic and a proactive approach to taking ownership of your responsibilities.\nExceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.\nA keen eye for detail and a commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work.\nA collaborative, team-oriented mindsetand a willingness to support colleagues when needed.\nProblem-solving skills and the ability to investigate discrepancies and identifypractical solutions.\nThe ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and stay focused in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.\nA continuous learning mindset and a desire to grow your accounting knowledge and professional skills.\nWhat we offer\nThree weeks of vacation annually so you can recharge and maintaina healthy work-life balance.\nSix paid sick days each year to support your health and give you the time you need to recover.\nA competitive RRSP matching program to support your long-term financial well-being.\nComprehensive health, dental, and vision benefits.\nCompetitive salary aligned to experience.\nRLG is an equal opportunity employer.
