If you thrive in fast-paced environments and enjoy leading field teams through all stages of construction, this opportunity is for you.\nWhat You’ll Do:\nLead the field execution of large utility-scale Turn-Key and EPC projects\nServe as the primary site contact for client project teams throughout construction\nEnsure implementation of Project Execution Plans and manage quality to minimize rework\nParticipate in early project planning and enforce adherence to schedules for construction, testing, and commissioning\nSupport the Project Manager in staffing and resource planning for craft and field teams\nOversee the selection of tools, materials, and equipment while controlling delivery timelines and cost\nFoster a proactive safety culture and ensure adherence to RMS Energy’s safety program\nManage vendor and subcontractor relationships to ensure contract compliance and quality outcomes\nConduct QA and safety inspections; verify proper use of equipment and safe conditions\nTroubleshoot issues and gain consensus on solutions to delays or disruptions\nResolve disputes with subs, vendors, or clients to maintain workflow\nAssist in contingency planning and scheduling to meet deadlines\nKeep the Project Manager informed on status updates related to safety, quality, risk, and team support\nCollaborate with the PM on construction budgets, productivity tracking, and scheduling\nContribute to monthly forecasting and reporting\nLead post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned\nTrack and mitigate recurring field execution issues\nThe Experience We’re Looking For:\n10+ years managing field construction for utility-scale generation projects, including high-voltage infrastructure\nDemonstrated ability to lead cross-functional site teams and subcontractors\nStrong customer service orientation and experience in presenting to stakeholders\nProven track record of delivering projects safely, on time, and within budget\nSkilled in construction scheduling, forecasting, and productivity tracking\nProficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, and other project management tools\nExperience coordinating with project management, engineering, and field operations\nStrong understanding of QA/QC practices, risk mitigation, and compliance\nAdditional Requirements:\nWillingness to travel up to 60% across the U.S.\nValid driver’s license \nMust successfully complete a background check and pre-employment/random drug tests\nAvailable for extended and irregular hours as needed\nAble to work outdoors in all weather, at heights (100+ ft), and around high-voltage equipment and heavy machinery\nPhysically capable of lifting 50+ lbs and enduring sustained physical activity\nMust have clear vision, hearing, and English proficiency for safe and effective communication\nBonus Points for:\nPMP certification or other project management credentials\nPrior experience managing electrical construction projects in government (state/federal) contracts\nBackground in utility substation, transmission line, or switchyard construction\nExperience with scenario-based planning and alternative work strategies\nFamiliarity with preconstruction document control and field productivity reporting tools\nWhy Join RMS Energy:\nWe’re not just another power services company.
