You’ll oversee retrofits, relay replacements, protection and control upgrades, and more, working cross-functionally with field technicians, subcontractors, and engineers. You’ll be part of a mission-driven team that values safety, execution, and continuous improvement.\nWhat You’ll Do:\nLead all phases of assigned projects from kickoff to closeout, ensuring delivery on time and within budget\nDefine scope, deliverables, schedules, and budgets in collaboration with stakeholders\nCoordinate with engineering, field services, subcontractors, and clients to ensure project alignment\nManage contracts and ensure compliance from both a technical and commercial perspective\nInterpret customer requirements and convert them into actionable project plans\nOversee technical accuracy, regulatory compliance, and quality of project execution\nTrack progress, identify risks, and implement contingency plans as needed\nMonitor subcontractor performance and issue RFPs as applicable\nProvide clear and consistent communication across internal and external teams\nDrive process improvements and promote PMO best practices\nOwn project outcomes and ensure alignment with RMS Energy’s high standards\nPerform engineering reviews, initiate corrective actions, and support technical troubleshooting\nAssist with forecasting, reporting, and PMO documentation\nEnsure field implementation meets all safety standards and regulatory requirements\nThe Experience We’re Looking For:\nStrong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving abilities\nProven communication skills with internal teams, subcontractors, and external clients\nUnderstanding of the power industry landscape, EPC relationships, and service execution\nExperience managing projects with multiple stakeholders and technical disciplines\n5+ years of relevant experience in project management\nExperience in commercial or industrial power systems is highly preferred\nPMP certification or NETA 2/3/4 preferred\nFamiliarity with electrical systems, substations, switchgear, and control/protection upgrades\nSkilled in Microsoft Project and the MS Office Suite\nAdditional Requirements:\nWillingness to travel up to 30% across the continental U.S.\nBachelor's degree in engineering, business, or related technical field (or equivalent work experience)\nHigh school diploma or GED required\nValid and current driver’s license\nMust successfully complete a background check and pre-employment/random drug tests\nLegally authorized to work in the United States\nComfortable visiting field sites with varied temperatures (20-100°F), noise levels, and PPE requirements\nAble to lift up to 20 lbs and sit or work at a computer for extended periods\nRequires good vision, hearing, and English proficiency for safe, effective communication in noisy environments\nBonus Points for:\nPrior experience with relay upgrades, switchgear retrofits, commissioning, or protection/control projects\nFamiliarity with NETA standards, OSHA guidelines, and PMO methodologies\nWorking knowledge of installation, testing, and retrofitting of electrical distribution systems\nWhy Join RMS Energy:\nWe’re not just another power services company.
