Power Your Purpose. Join Our Team.\nAbout the role\nRNWBL is seeking a Lead Wind Technician to support operations and maintenance at Origin Wind Farm on the Vestas\nV100 turbine platform. This hands-on role requires a self-starter with strong problem-solving skills, extensive wind\nturbine maintenance experience, and the ability to lead and develop technicians. Working with the Plant Manager,\nyou will lead daily field activities, troubleshoot turbine faults, and coordinate scheduled and unscheduled\nmaintenance while promoting safe work practices, improving turbine reliability and availability, and ensuring work is\ncompleted and documented to a high standard.\nWhat You Will Do\nLead daily crew activities, assign tasks based on technician qualifications, and coordinate work with the Plant Manager and contractors.\nPlan and perform preventive maintenance, corrective repairs, inspections, and component replacements usingsound technical judgment and safe work practices.\n\nDiagnose electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and control system faults on Vestas V100 turbines using schematics,technical manuals, fault history, and approved diagnostic tools.\n\nHelp prioritize faulted turbines and outstanding repairs, identify support needs, and communicate recovery plans and progress to the Plant Manager.\nProvide technical direction and hands-on support to technicians. Coach team members in troubleshooting, safe work practices, and maintenance quality.\nLead pre-task planning and job safety discussions. Follow and reinforce lockout/tagout, electrical safety, fall protection, rescue, and environmental procedures.\nVerify completed work, support safe return to service, and identify repeat issues or opportunities to improve maintenance practices.\nCoordinate tooling, consumables, and spare parts needs; document parts usage and support inventory accuracy.\nMaintain accurate work orders, troubleshooting notes, labor entries, and maintenance records in the site’scomputerized maintenance management system and other required reporting tools.\n\nCommunicate equipment conditions, safety concerns, and work status to site leadership and other operational stakeholders.\nSupport applicable site, customer, regulatory, and NERC compliance activities within assigned responsibilities.\nParticipate in a rotating on-call schedule and respond to outages outside normal working hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.\nRequired Qualifications\nAt least three years of wind turbine field service experience, including preventive maintenance, corrective repairs, and troubleshooting.\nAbility to independently diagnose turbine faults and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, hydraulic diagrams, and technical procedures.\nAbility to lead field crews, organize work, communicate clearly, and mentor technicians.\nSound judgment, accountability, and a demonstrated commitment to safe work practices.\nProficiency with computers, digital work orders, and maintenance reporting systems.\nValid driver’s license and ability to meet company driving requirements.\nAvailability for rotating on-call coverage and occasional travel for training or support at other sites.\nPreferred Qualifications\nVestas V100 maintenance and troubleshooting experience is strongly preferred.\nPrevious experience as a lead technician, crew lead, or senior technician with responsibility for directing work anddeveloping others.\n\nTechnical training or certifications relevant to wind turbine maintenance, electrical troubleshooting, ormechanical systems.\n\nWork Environment and Physical Requirements\nThis position involves regular turbine climbing, work at heights and in confined spaces, and physically demanding\nmaintenance tasks. Work takes place outdoors in changing weather conditions and requires the use of personal\nprotective equipment, climbing systems, and rescue equipment.
