In close partnership with the Lead Compounding Pharmacist, you will help oversee the day-to-day operations of the compounding department and ensure adherence to all internal policies and procedures. This role also involves regular collaboration with cross-functional teams including Supply Chain, Compliance, Operations, and Quality to support the growth, efficiency, and compliance of our compounding operations and team development.\nThis posting is for our location in Romeoville, Illinois. This hire is for a full time role.\nWhat You'll Do:\nCollaborates with the lead compounding pharmacist to ensure day to day productivity/quality metrics are met\nCompound and supervise compounding of prescription medications. This includes mixing and packaging orders, managing inventory, and ensuring a compliant, organized working environment to ensure the safe, accurate, and timely dispensing of compounded medication\nEnsure compliance with all applicable compounding policies and procedures, and provide feedback and make suggestions for new ones as needed\nSupport audits to ensure all compounding work orders are completed accurately and within a timely manner\nSupport training of new compounding pharmacists and pharmacy technicians\nCollaborate with the PIC to ensure compliance with all relevant state and federal compounding guidelines and regulations\nEnsure good documentation practices, and that all documentation is kept accurate and up to date\nEnsure proper inventory management, including ensuring that all appropriate paperwork is reviewed and filed\nSupports the pharmacy in charge by collaborating for readiness for any inspections\nCollaborates with the schedule of compounding technicians, and ensures adequate coverage for operations\nMay be asked to obtain additional non-resident pharmacist licenses to support the needs of the pharmacy\nWhat You'll Bring to the Team:\nBachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy from an accredited college of pharmacy \nValid pharmacist license in state you will be working in\nAbility to work on site 40 hours per week (Monday-Friday) with rotating weekends\nExtensive knowledge of USP 795, and 800 regulations\nMinimum of 2 years of experience in a compounding pharmacy\nBackground in sterile compounding preferred\nAbility to work in a high volume fast paced environment\nTeam player with outstanding communication skills \nStrong organizational skills and attention to detail\nSchedule & Availability:\nThis is a full-time role with shifts primarily scheduled Monday through Friday, plus every other Saturday.
